Postgame Presser, in which Mullen declines to explain why AR's not starting because "it'll bore you"

And the reporter should have responded with
“I didn’t really notice which running back was in because there isn’t one running back playing significantly better than the others.” “Coach did you not notice that one qb played much better than the other?”
Either that or my suggestion which was to slap him in the face. This woman should be Mullen on the bus ride home:

I'm not sure what he's doing wrong, but one thing he's definitely NOT doing wrong is throwing INTs. EJ on the other hand is throwing a couple per game against doormats.

Im going to try and keep this short but hear me out. Disclaimer I think EJ is not a good QB and AR is the future. But I'm really trying to understand Dan Mullens logic.

1st Dan Mullen isn't an idiot, he appears pretty savvy and is a good coach (not great, may never be). He will never win a title but is a contender. Muschamp was an idiot.

2nd Mullen coached under Urbs and think about this, while Urbs was winning titles, Aaron H was murdering ppl and Percy Harvin was fighting coaches. Oh and everyone was high.

Maybe Mullen saw that when you just put in star players very quickly, its easy to lose control?

On the flip side, you can't lose games just to teach the guys a lesson on being a good person. Mullen makes big $$ to walk that line.

Anyways Im just trying to realistically figure out what the heck is going on besides " Mullenz is stoopid!" Though I instinctually feel that way!

Never in my almost half century as a Gator have I seen an athlete make more out of as few touches of the pigskin. I’m still shaking my head after yesterday’s spectacular encore to last week’s sterling debut. The guy has Heisman written all over his future.

It’s no longer a controversy for Mullen. It’s a matter of mind games, control and, most of all, time. A smidgeon of it. Dan Mullen is wetting his pants over trying to figure out how to get this kid on the field without having to admit it.

If that were the case, he failed miserably when he could have put him right back in when we were inside the 10 yard line.

Bingo. You want the Gator brand to finally be "back" and get some national recognition, this is the guy. Put him out there and play him as much as humanly possible until he leaves for the NFL. NO ROTATING, just like the Tebow years. Your best player is always on the field unless it's scrub time in blowouts.

You might have some high school kids actually noticing UF for a change. It's hard to believe Mullen could actually eff this up.

I said it I the box yesterday and I believe it still. AR is the most dynamic player I've seen since Percy. He doesn't have Percy's speed but dynamic nonetheless.

Mullet is a stubborn SOB and is to concerned with trying to be the smartest guy in the room. It is similar to keeping all his non recruiting poker buddies around instead of good position coaches that can actually recruit. CDM will screw this up as well, instead of making the obvious choice. EJ needs to switch to slot reciever, as he has no shot at the NFL as a QB.

agreed, but Dan was actually bragging about how Franks and Trask are both in the nfl as if to suggest they are somehow equals thanks to his mentoring. Arrogant turd will now force ej down our throats to prove he can put anyone in the league.

I think EJ has been Mullens highest recruited QB, and the first one on his recruiting class. Mullen has personally promised that "if you stay three years in the system, wait for your turn, you will do great!". He cannot accept what a terrible failure his 3 year project has been.

WTF are you ranting about? Are you seriously implying that if we put great Freshmen QBs, they become murderers? I am just trying to translate to English here.

Both QB’s will play for the next few games, if not all year. It is what it is and we just need to hope AR gets more of the PT. I was wrong on Emory and would love to see AR take every snap as he is the most exciting as any gator that I’ve ever watched. Mullen will “start” AR for one play and pull him just to shut us up at some point.

All we can hope for is the next 3 years of full time AR15 and recruits dying to play along side. As far as this season goes, it will be a 2 QB system unless one gets covid or hurt. Go Gators
