There are some serious internal issues there and the fans are not happy. We've certainly not handled our QB situation well at all, but Norvell is putting on a clinic of what not to do. Apparently Milton not only got the start unexpectedly on Saturday, but even after managing 17 total points has now been named starter this week against WF already as well. Travis may not be great, but he led them to 28 points through 3.5 quarters against ND. Milton has accounted for 27 in 4.5 quarters(plus an OT possession), and that's even giving him full credit for the TD drive he finished for Travis and including an entire game against an FCS opponent. Keep in mind, Milton is one wrong tackle from being done, which means Travis would be called on again. If nothing else, he's probably who they'll have to rely on next season. How Norvell arrived at this decision on Monday morning following that performance, I have no clue. But I know it will get some heat, and I wouldn't be shocked if he has already lost this team, again.

Btw, Willie only got 21 games total(9-12 record) before getting the axe. Norvell has 3 wins through 11 contests. if he doesn't find a way to win at least 7 this season, they'll have to let him go. Otherwise, the name of their stadium will be the least of their concerns. Tick tock, dirtbags.

QB is an issue, and the Milton situation is a "feel good" story (Game Day did a big segment on him, w his family and doctor and all the pomp and circumstance). But Lucas has been a pain in the ass at FSU for a couple of years now. He had a blow up last year on the sidelines, throwing a temper tantrum. I'm guessing something similar happened. I'm sure he's not the only player frustrated. He was a top 150 recruit, coming out of IMG. Made a terrible decision going there. Not sure what he was thinking, except he's probably just a a dumb person.

Florida State shouldn't surprise us anymore
Florida State lost to an FCS opponent for the first time in school history on Saturday night, when Jacksonville State quarterback Zerrick Cooper delivered a stunning 59-yard game-winning touchdown pass on the final play of the game. But watching the Seminoles lose like that should no longer be a surprise to anyone. Because here is the sad, honest truth about Florida State right now: This is a losing program.

Forget about all the history, tradition and national championships. Florida State entered this season off three straight losing seasons. Willie Taggart was run out of town after less than two of them, but Mike Norvell went 3-6 last year in Year 1, and now the Seminoles are at a new rock bottom on his watch. It is hard to win by playing losing football -- penalties, blown assignments and undisciplined play have become a hallmark in recent years -- and Norvell has not been able to fix any of that. Florida State made plays to lose the game on Saturday night (myriad drops, over 100 yards in penalties), and the coaching staff called plays to lose the game, too. It remains inexplicable that the Seminoles were not in a prevent defense on the final play, no matter what Norvell says.

Now, they head on the road to play a Wake Forest team that always gives Florida State a challenge in Winston-Salem. But beyond that, Florida State still has games left against Clemson, North Carolina, Miami and Florida. Norvell had no answers afterward, saying the Seminoles would go back to work to fix the mistakes. But Taggart said all that before him, too. So did Jimbo Fisher in his final season (he left with Florida State at 5-6 in 2017). Until Norvell and his players can figure out how to play winning football, nothing is going to change. -- Andrea Adelson
That's a shame...

I read all spring, summer and fall that Novell was the second coming. I seriously never saw so many Gators gush about what a rising talent he was. He is horrifically bad.

So right now, NorveLL is 3-8. Thus, he has to go 6-4 over the rest of the season just to equal WiLLLLLLLLLLLLie’s record. If he can’t beat that 9-12 mark and isn’t fired, then there’s only one reason and we alllll know what it is. At least that’s what I’m going say, even if I don’t really believe it.

Wasting these years where fsu and um suck ass is truly inconceivable. You have to try to be outrecruited by those two staffs.
