So at first glance this is a second week in a row without a lot of marquee matchups. In fact our game with Bama where we are over 2 TD home dogs is one of the biggest games. Maybe we should get some confidence seeing OR were 2 TD dogs in their win last week. But no, I don't see us pulling the upset. Not even covering the spread most likely.
Auburn at PSU is the gameday location this week. Barn are 6 point road dogs and I really have no feel for how good or bad they are this year. I'll be rooting for AU simply because I can't stand Ped State U.
We get a Friday game of some interest with UCF at Louisville with the Cardinals being 7 point home dogs. I'd love to see UCF lose but I think UL are pretty bad.
Of course watching FSU hopefully going to 0-3 could be all kinds of fun, with them traveling to Wake as 5.5 point dogs.
Hopefully Miamuh takes a second L when Mich St travels to play the canes for a Noon kickoff. That game has a strange line with MSU anywhere from 6.5-8 point dogs. I don't see the logic in that line since MSU has looked good with a potent running game behind Wake Transfer Kenneth Walker III who is a stud. Miami meanwhile had to hit a late FG then get lucky with App State receivers dropping pass after pass on the final drive, where they should have been able to attempt a game winning FG. I like MSU to win this one straight up possibly by several scores.
I don't know if it comes with aging or just suffering through a 3rd straight turd of a coach, but I find myself spending a lot more time rooting against teams than pulling for anyone. I guess as they say, misery loves company.
