And how proud everyone was to have a Moral Victory for keeping it close? No? Everyome was pissed? Tebow was crying?

Thats how you know you arent a loser program.

A 2 loss season would be a huge step up from where we have been the last ten years. That is my absolute ceiling for this group and coaches.

I agree we have lost the “killers edge” as a program. Playing shytty ball for a decade will reset the organizational culture. It starts at the top. Until leadership changes……………….

Actually, they should take a page from the 08 team after the close loss to Ole Piss and, as Eastwood said, “get plumb mad dog mean” and go through every other team on the schedule like a circle saw.

Dan and the team need an edginess that the program has lacked for years.

Get mad guys! Hulk smash!

I remember the network kept showing Tebow crying on the sideline and I couldn't help thinking that they were being so disrespectful towards him. Show it one time sure. But they seemed to keep going back and I hated that. The guy loved playing football for UF and he hated losing. He was definitely a class act that not many schools have ever had before or since.

I was there. That game wasn't close at all, and we were the favorites. It was also a championship game and the end of our chances of playing for a national championship. This is nowhere near an apples to apples comparison.

Yes, we have fallen, there should not be any moral victories, and our loser coach seems content to keeping it close to Bama, but there's better examples for you to use. Perhaps FSU in 96?

Expectations are shaped over time. I’ll take a second straight win over Georgia and the chance of rematch with Bama before I start getting too haughty.

Did he seem mad after the game? I didnt see that.

He seemed elated just to not get blown out, like so many here.

Yes.

I also remember the 90s when we had a HOF coach that set the standard for UF. In six games where we faced the eventual NC or played for it ourselves('92,93,95,96,98,99) we went 1-5. In his time here at UF, Mullen is 0-2, and could end up being 0-3 if Alabama wins it all again. So he's not at that level, and may never reach it. But he also hasn't had 4 shots as of yet, which is what was needed with Spurrier. There are no moral victories, but there are losses you can respect and try to build on to reach the peak(see the OM reference above). If this team does it, then we just may get there. If they don't, it will be visible as early as this Saturday. There's just really no reason to keep harping on this fictitious mindset that you've created in your head.

Btw, if you want to include '97 fsu in the mix, that's probably fair since they were the best team that season. But then you really have to miami in 2000, who blew us out and beat fsu who also blew us out.

Youre weird insistence that Dan Mullen is just like Spurrier except for the championship trophies makes you look borderline on insane.

Again not only did SOS dominate the SEC in the 90s bringing home 6 SECs and a NC, but he also beat Saban with Gamecuck talent. And won championships at Duke.....and the USFL.

Of course, there is the name on the field.

Maybe one day Cowbell will have Dan's name.... whoops, they gave it to they only guy to win the SEC west at Cowbell.

Maybe Sutter Home will at least make a Dan commemorative.

Good to see you back on the moral victory train though.

Yeah, my stating that he's not on Spurrier'e level and may never be, and that there are no moral victories definitely equates to saying the coaches are the same and puts me squarely on a moral victory train.

If you're going to quote someone, then do it. I'm trying to help you learn how to debate so you can one day be a trial lawyer. You can't do PPMs for aspiring pink sheet companies and be the concilierge of the Cub Scouts all your life.

don't be a ridiculous. I don't even know what a PPM is.

but you are right, he lacks it. he lacks that killer instinct. he lacks the attention to detail. you think after a game like this Spurrier or Meyer would be happy? hell Meyer didn't even like losing the recruiting ranking battles.

That's just the beginning of what's missing.

Yeah I remember Spurrier dominating the SEC back when everyone else sucked. Except of course for those years when Bama didn't suck and we lost to them.

How many undefeated seasons did Spurrier coach? Was it 7 or 8, I can never remember.

We definitely didn't do anything towards winning a Championship on Saturday, in fact, the opposite. We are the best looking team to lose on Saturday though. Is that what you want to be acknowledged?

Hilarious. If someone said we had won a championship on Saturday you'd immediately call them a loony. Face it, with regard to winning a championship at the end of the season, the final score of this game (decided by a missed xp BTW) is way down the list of important stuff this season. Figuring out the best way to use the players we have in the most effective way is way up at the top of the list. Who can really say that didn't happen?

Yes, we did determine we yave a strong enough running game to beat Trailerbammers oddly undersized feont seven. What we do when teams adjust and put 8-9 in the box with corners pressing is still to be seen.

The truth is I feel better about this team than I did at half time, but Im not happy about it. And I dont want to see my coach reveling in a loss.

Some HAVE declared we will be a one loss team which is, of course, declaring us SEC champions.
