The future is uncertain.

Flashback to 1999 in The Swamp, Gators and Tide fought to a draw at the end of Regulation.

UF scored a TD on its OT possession, but the EP kick was missed.

AL scored a TD on its OT possession, missed the EP. But wait, penalty on UF for offsides. The second EP lick was good.

Bama 40 UF 39

In the SECCG rematch Bama won 34-7.

This moral victory mugging is a fabrication made off of a poster saying that Gators should take some pride in playing equal with the Sabanites, the biblical Goliaths of CFB. No GC poster is celebrating the losing part.??

I'm still predicting 9-3 or 8-4 honestly. I don't trust mullen to keep the team focused all season and consistently dialed in during the games. I also expect we see a plateau and possibly a drop in performance by mid to late season associated with his inability to keep the team up. Still think we lose 1 of 2 from dwags and corndwags and 1 or 2 others we have no business losing to. Don't trust Emory or mullen, and dwagthem gonna dwagthem. Mullen, as always, is welcome to prove me wrong. Unfortunately so far he's done the opposite.

I just got through watching the game. Right before the season, I predicted 9-3. I am sticking with it. We are better (lots of heart and good balance) than many give us credit, however, Alabama is overrated. So I'm not predicting we will go undefeated for the remainder of the regular season.

One bright spot I saw. We have some weaknesses that hopefully our coaching will acknowledge and live with. I felt Grantham made some good adjustments in this game by not blitzing every 3rd down and passing situation. It seemed to work much better for us.

Great game Gators. It was an exciting game.

Yes, douche? You have something you'd like to add? :bananawave:

No, I think I covered it, no.... i have more to add. Just to be clear, I don't disagree with you........ I think very highly of your post, generally. It's just that sometimes you join in with the "Broken Record" group and that just doesn't require you to "deep dive" into the Mullen fiasco. Maybe I expect too much but you have set such a high bar....... I need, no require, your keen insight and understanding to help me formalize my own ideas. I wish we had more posters like you and not so much Donky Doo on here.

My hope is that DM will get a playing rhythm going for our 2 QBs and the entire team goes upbeat on the surplus athleticism and point streamings.? That has got to start with UT. No better time than versus UT orange dreamsicles ... the orangetans.

The not blitzing after getting burned the entire 1st quarter, was huge.

I thought it was very nice of Grantham to give Bryce all those intermediate throws by sending all our LBs from 2-3 yards behind the LOS on staggered delayed blitzes. It really allowed Bryce to get comfy and build the lead in those first 15 minutes that would never be able to be overcome. Grantham'd again...but we only lost by 2 so its really a win win.

What was interesting, is that minus the first qtr, we played a pretty traditional defense against them. Put our beef on the line, freed the backers to roam and try to make plays, and for the most part let the cornerbacks press up on the recievers instead of giving them 10 yd cushions every snap. Amazing what can happen when you try to play sec style defense.

You mean there was a complete reversal of fortunes when we started playing a fundamentally sound D scheme using the players best suited to run it? WTF? The mind boggles.
