Dez with only 5 downs. What he did with his 5 downs was probably bigger than what most the others did with their 30+ downs.

True, but he's a situational player right now - and doing a fantastic job of it.

Truesdale needs more snaps, so does Princely. Curious why they threw Goods out there for one snap.

Also note that Moon actually played LB, not DL, so Fat Todd did play more than 3 LBs.

I'd like to see Perkins get in a few more snaps....and WTF happened to Blades? Glad we used that counter...smh

I'm glad Tarquin got some 'real' snaps vs. a real team. I'm not sure how well he did, but I'm sure he won't forget playing vs. Bama.

We only played 5 WR's & 2 TE's the entire game (and Gamble left w/ an injury). Also, Shorter playing that many snaps shows why we will always struggle to recruit elite WR's (because elite WR's don't want to be blockers).

All 3 backs did well.
I am surprised that we played only a few WRs.
I would rather see Princely Umanmielen rushing the passer on 3rd down than Cox.

Talented young guys, especially at DL, can play just as well as older guys for one or two plays at a time. Where they tend to struggle is in trying to keep it up play after play. That's something the older guys are better at.

I'd like to see Big Dez get more plays, but not 20 or 30.

Princely not playing is going to become an issue. He was grossly under utilized last year and he was vocal about it. He has played very well the 1st 2 games, and then they don’t play him this game. He’s going to be a transfer portal kid IMO.

I get that Burney was huge in run support. Particularly goal line. But he is nowhere near Perkin’s production.

I saw Perkins in traffic court this morning for some small thing. He had Vernell with him to help him with the situation. So maybe he didn't play that much because he is a knucklehead? Idk.

I think Princely sticks around (along w/ guys like Lingard & Bowman) - those positions open up after this year w/ graduation (and possible early NFL draft entry). Carter will be gone, and Princely seems the logical replacement. Pierce & Davis leave the RB room opening up a bunch of time for the other two.

I wish we got one of the 3 transfer DT's back next year.

I don't want to air out the dude's dirty laundry. But it was from a small thing from late July. Kind of encouraging to see Vernell up there trying to help the kid. He looked kind of lost. Probably good he doesn't look comfortable in a courtroom.
