Who makes the worst pizza or what are the worst topping combinations?
What is the one pizza place that you refuse to buy from?

I have become a little more sensitive to my pizza choices.

We have some local Denver places that make great homestyle pizzas.
(Pizza Republica and Midici's).

So we only do the Dominos or Pizza Huts once in a blue moon.

Quick side story:
The family ate at a CeeCee's pizza circa 2011 or so.
Everyone of us got food poisoning and were barfing for 3-4 days.
And I RARELY ever throw up (@soflagator )

Ewww, we had a Cici’s pizza here for a short time and I know exactly what you are talking about. Seriously, how can you mess up pizza? They could do it. Even worse than little caesars.

Have you been to Beau Jo’s pizza in Idaho Springs or Denver? Loved their pizza with honey to dip in!

There used to be two CiCi's in Huntsville. I took the kids to the one on University Drive about 3 or 4 years ago and they didn't have a clean plate in the place. So I asked for paper plates. The guy found some stuck up on a shelf and pulled a stack down. I DID NOT take the top plate because it was covered in dust. Haven't been back to that one. The other CiCi's was on South Parkway on the south end of Huntsville. It was a much nicer, cleaner appearing place. They are no longer in business and I will not go to the one on University.

I would've never even set foot in a CiCi's if it weren't for stupid kids sports dinners...

Again, lock the thread, it's done!

We have a pizza chain here called Sir Pizza. It's one of Seedy's favorite pizzas but the first time I tried it, I ended up in the ER. Turns out I needed my gallbladder removed and had no idea. The greasy pizza set it off and I was fairly certain I was dying. I'll never eat Sir Pizza again.

Disappointed in you Alex. You are no longer a college student. I thought even you had standards in your older and wiser years.:shakehead:

I haven't had school cafeteria pizza since I was in High School. I'd eat a slice if it was available though.

I haven't had a Totinos in decades (although it was a broke college-kid staple, along with ramen and mac n cheese). I'm not saying I'd buy on on purpose and cook it for nostalgia sake, but I'd still eat it if it was available.

CiCis is the worst of the chains--by far--but I still get dragged to one every once in a blue moon because it is close to work and buffets are fast for large groups. It's bad pizza but again, even bad pizza is still good.

There was an "all you can eat" pizza place right across from campus called "Lord Munchies" back in the day. They knew their market.

Anyway.

As for really good pizza, again, something I haven't had in a few years but there is a style of pizza you can get in some parts of central Florida that I really love. Most of the vendors go by some version of "Stavros" in Daytona, Edgewater, Ormond, maybe Leesburg, Orange City, and New Smyrna. There is a "Manny's" in Port Orange, a couple of "Kelsey's" on the Space Coast, a "Taki's" somewhere near Leesburg. It's a thicker crust, but very crispy. It's not NY, nothing like Chicago, not that midwestern cracker pizza, not Sicilian or Detroit either. It's different.

Never had CiCi's but it's amazing that I've also never heard a single review that was anything other than completely awful. That's tough to argue with. How are they still in business?

I remember having Dominoes as a kid and it being fine. But recently, my kids have had it and even the smell is terrible. I'm not a big pizza person and will only eat it here or there, but they must've really dropped the quality of their cheese or something. It's disgusting.

@Gatordiddy , we have a Medici near us. I've had it once and it was solid.

Pro Tip #4958: when ordering chain pizza like Domino's or Hungry Howie's, order it "well done"... it's actually a choice on the Domino' app. It makes a big difference with chain pizza.

Pretty much all chain pizza sucks.
I only get pizza from mom and pop restaurants ran by fellow wops.
Generally agree however I do eat mellow mushroom. It’s pretty good and haven’t ruined quality for a little more in profit

I can eat any pizza if needed. Have even tempted death getting it from Flying J and Racetrack when in the road for work. However as I’ve gotten older I have become less tolerable to the chains and prefer the local mom and pop ones.
