They played somebody close this past weekend. Can't remember who and don't want to scroll all the way to the bottom of ESPN.com web page to look up the scores for the bottom dwellers.
They were down 4 TD's in the first half. It wasn't close. Quit pumping the Noles or face a ban.

They will lose to UMass in October, the worst loss in the history of their school. Ten times worse than the JSU loss.

NorveLLLL could be a tough out coach. Stay with me on this after you stop laughing. A friend that I worked with, who was a Seminole player under Bowden, tells me that the “people that matter,” boosters, administrators, etc., believe that NorveLLLL has “it.” That being what it takes to get the program not only turned around quickly, but dominating their conference and soon thereafter the college playoffs. All he has to do is get rid of the bad character guys and replace them with the 5* high caliber players that Bobby and Jimbo were able to get. They believe the wins will come, eventually. The troubles they are having is simply part of the purge. Sounds simple, right? Cutting to the chase, what this really tells me (and others, obviously) is that they have fuchs-upped the last two hires and there is no more money for a reset. The return from a fall from the top is never an easy climb. But keep spinning F$U…

:bob:
I could buy into the tough out regarding Norvell if it weren’t for one pesky little problem.

This is his 2nd year.
Granted, last year was a strange one but, this is his system, fully Installed.
Offense, Defense and special teams.

Normally a high caliber coach with championship aspirations would have this thing going in the right direction by year 2.

They way they played ND had me thinking this guy might have “it”.
After watching ND afterwards , well not so much.
Losing to Jackson State ?
Unacceptable for a 2nd year coach.

If recruiting doesn’t tail off for them, he’s Ron Zook in maroon.
If recruiting starts to tail off, hell he isn’t as good as Mac.

Is Arkansas' Sam Pittman the one we should be targeting next?

I had a similar thought, but I’m far from seriously believing he’d be a good option, yet.

The other and much younger candidate I would consider more seriously - and I haven’t been watching closely - is Aranda at baylor. Seems to be turning things around for what can be reasonably expected at baylor.

Anybody paying closer attention to see if he’s showing good promise? He’s a defensive coach who doesn’t appear to be suppressing the offense and I seem to recall is a solid recruiter.

FSU basically QUIT the entire season last year with weeks left to play. The simply didn't play 3 of their last 4 games last year, hiding in the closet rather than face Clemson, Wake, and Virginia...only bothering to suit up against 2-win Duke.

After going 3-6 last year and losing 4 straight to start this year, how anyone thinks they are going to get back to prominence anytime soon is beyond my comprehension. Nobody wants to be there. They may as well lock the doors and let everyone transfer.

They would have done better shutting down the program, removing all the Tagelwain then starting up again with a completely new roster.

We have a few fans of the tough out coaches on here.

Fuentes was on the list before he was fired.

Matt Campbell was on the list too. So far he is 2-2 with losses to Baylor and Iowa on his way to his usual 8-4 or 7-5 season.

And of course, Minnesota just lost to some little league MAC team. PJ Fleck probably has to kiss all his players twice now. I wonder if there wont be some evidence left on his sweatervest too.

Gophers' embarrassing loss to Bowling Green was the sum of many 'single things'

31 point favorites.

Discuss how shttty these coaches are.
There's nothing "Golden" about that Gopher. That was an "Appalachian State/Georgia Southern/Jacksonville State loss. Those kind of losses are program killers as FSU is about to find out.

That's why this stance that Norvell is the "right guy" is the most laughable thing I've ever heard. Good coaches don't have records like this.

My closest high school friend was a student at Bama when Bear Bryant arrived. Bryant purged the roster by using recalcitrant players as tackling dummies. This is Norvellll's second year. Why is he just now purging the roster?

NorveLLLL is such a clown. on ESPN crying they only lost to Louisville by a score. I guess he already forgot the curb stomp Wake laid on him. fsu fans are delusional if they think this guy has an answer. stop blaming the kids look at the quality of coaching you see on the field (lack of).
