I feel like even when he’s trying to get open he’s blocking. Other than that busted coverage in the opening TD against uga last year, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him open.
it's sort of sad really. if you go back and just watch him running routes even with a linebacker in zone on him, the linebacker is just draping on him.

I'm sure he's a good kid but Lord is he slow, like I think he would probably the slowest of our tight ends. He just isn't fast when you put pads on him, no matter what is 40 time is.

I honestly don't know when I've seen a wide receiver this slow before.

He really should be one of those blocking only old school tight ends. Just put on 15 or 20 lb and hope that somebody in the NFL needs that. He seems to be able to put on weight.

Blades finally got a significant amount of reps, even more than Perkins.

Was McDaniel the Safety who blew the long TD coverage?

Well Burney and Torrence really, with the screwups on the first TD. Trevez also "missed" or maybe didnt really even bother to try to tackle.

Yeah it was McDaniel on the pass. He was just flatfooted and expecting a Mullen route while the guy just ran past him, and of course we were in Man Zero bc Grantham. (Or if it was Man One the FS never rolled over.)

McDaniel is really solid vs the run and maybe our best run defender behind Hopper. he's pretty comfortable playing inside. honestly think he SHOULD be moved to linebacker, and Burney obviously should have stayed at safety.

Make no mistake about it, every OC in the country would LOVE to have any strong safety/LB hybrid on the X receiver in man coverage woth no help.

If they are in man, Id prefer just to see press man.

We’ve probably looked our best when we are in press

I didn’t realize Stewart Reese didn’t play at all. Right side of the line must be pretty banged up. Braun playing more is probably good for us but if both Delance and Reese can’t play idk if we really have a reliable 7th. I guess they like Tarquin…

Tarquin is better than Delance today.

but we don't play less senior players.

To me Tarquin looks much better and pass protection, and not much worse and run walking. He's probably not quite as strong as Delance. for all the jokes we've made Delance is pretty good at run blocking.

Princely is playing like a beast. If we sub Princely tomorrow for Cox, our D line becomes pretty elite, at least while Gervon is on the field too.

forgot to mention this previously. Pouncy really stood out to me on film as being a nice tackler. even if he can't play man well enough to be a corner in this defense I think he could be a good free safety.

one other thing about the offensive line. normally guards and centers don't go early to the NFL. teams just don't tend to pick them early in the draft.

White might be an exception. he is just playing VERY WELL and is absolutely pancaking SEC players on run blocks at times. He might get a first or second round grade.
