Good job Cover.
Lets see for the Gators to win the East they would have to win out ,Ga. would have to lose another conf. game and KY. of all fuc*in teams will have to lose three conference games.
This sucks!
Seasons over dude…Georgia is going to hold our EJ led offense to “maybe” 3 points and beat us by 30 plus while having 8 passing attempts…ask Arkansas

Elam was held out because he didn't practice enough. Was this because:
1) it's a matter of team rules and discipline?
2) because he didn't practice enough to know the game plan, etc.?
3) He was too injured to play effectively and aggravate the injury.
Not playing AR probably hurt, but not playing Elam was probably the difference in the game.

I would advise Carter and Elam to each opt out the rest of the season . There is no point for either of them to play another down . The season is over and I especially feel for ZC. He deserves better than this loser Dan .

Mullen is a joke . An embarrassment to the university . I don’t care if Franklin , Fickle or Frankenstein is hired next . But he must be a leader of men and not a pussy like Dan.

Sometimes coaches have to work the refs . Stoops did that after what he felt like was a PI. Think we had a dozen penalties after that literally . A coach with some gumption stands up to that
Nonsense . No balls and no fight Dan wasn’t gonna do it .

What was nearly a pick six ended up as
A kick 6 . Putting Richardson in at that
Moment when you clearly weren’t willing to let him throw is classic Dan . I don’t care where the bastard goes . Just get him out of Gainesville and hire a leader
Of men with fortitude.
Well said. That sorry display of feckless, limp-wristed coaching was vintage Mullen. Personally, I've never liked the spread option and was not thrilled when DM was hired. But I tried to keep an open mind because I love my Gators and because my only other choice was to admit that we made ANOTHER bad hire and that there was a possibility that we would not recover for several MORE years - if ever. At the time, I just decided to think happy thoughts and hope for the best and give Mullen a chance to see if he could do the job. That particular hand is quite empty this morning.

Well here we are, awash in mediocrity with a supercilious dooshbag leading the way into what is no longer an uncertain future. We know exactly what to expect after almost three and a half years of the "same schytt, different day" crap fest that we laughingly refer to as Gator FB. Remarkably, Mullen does truly think he's the smartest SOB in the stadium and that he has nothing to learn from anyone about anything. I'm willing to bet that several million Gator fans would beg to differ. I just want him gone as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Dan Mullen was the difference in the game. Everything else is window dressing and niggling detail.

Since the tide game, all we've heard about is the brilliance of Mullen and how he has made EJ a winner. Day after day, they gushed about how we turned the corner after ut and EJ was a great QB; brought along slowly by the adeptness of his coach to be a wunner.

Headlines, surreal stories and almost adoration caused the Gators to believe, not in themselves, but in their image plastered all over the internet. If they were coached to rely on themselves and their abilities, we might still have not won, but, instead, the Gators believed in those writing seemingly credible accounts of there heroic victories.

Unfortunately, those reading their feature stories found out they had to line up and work. That is coaching; this team was not ready to play. There used to be a banner at the Swamp-"work 'em silly Gators". They need to be reminded of that every day and work, not 100% but 110%. Coaches need to remind their players stories are meant to sell papers; they need to get them ready to play.

Truly, the whole bloody game had me in a deja vu....back to the Muschamp days. Freaking nightmare, more like. Just a very long three hours of ineptitude. What else is there to say after losing to Kentucky? There's no point in enumerating further. Total fail sums it up neatly.

As usual a masterful job Cover. We lost because we didn't execute simple fundamentals in pressure situations. That goes to practice habits and emphasis in practice. We should be undefeated and the only place to look is directly in the mirror.

Chump never lost to Kentucky. He lost to pretty much everyone else, but not Kentucky. Not once. Neither did Zook or Mac. Dan has now lost to them twice.

Teams both in non-sports and sports take on the personality of their leadership. This is the leadership we have.

Good summary as usual Cover. After the block six you could see this S*** Storm coming .

This morning I watched a replay of our last botched scoring drive.
My question is why did we not consider putting EJ under center and running a conventional or a sugar huddle, then maybe a two back set with Davis and Pierce, one of whom could be offset blocking for the other. Start the point of attack at the 5 and not the 10 or 12 yard line where EJ gets the ball.
My point here is that the OL was obviously having issues on who heard EJ's claps and who did not. Since we were killing our drives on false start penalties why wouldn't we try direct center exchanges with a cadence count of some kind to give all a better chance to hear it. Maybe the answer is that we don't practice it ? But knowing how loud BHG is you would think that part of preparation would include different tactics to respond to a similar noise level what we saw last night.
I am so frustrated losing to an average UK team. But being a veteran Gator fan, I have seen my share of these games and I am getting numb. PGDS (post Gator defeat syndrome) has set in today.
When we got to the 5 on the penalty and then lined up to run the same formation , complete with a false start penalty, I headed for my outside deck to listen to Mick and Shane. (no Lee last night) I thought it would help. It only got worse.
Poor game preparation and focus, lack of depth due to poor recruiting, questionable play calling, and special team breakdowns, all contributed to the loss to a team we should have beaten by at least 10 points.

In All Kinds of Weather we'll all stick together.
From what I'm reading we all want the mudder-fudder gone.

Nice job, cover. As I said in the other thread, it’s still ultimately about recruiting. Mullen is a better coach than Zook, WM, or JM. When we had some close calls with UK, like 2014, we still have a team that was loaded with NFL talent. The problem with games like last night, is that our players are not significantly better than theirs any longer. That’s the difference and what was always going to inhibit this staff.
