Jalen Hurts has been playing well for the Eagles this year so far with Johnson as QB coach. He may work his way up to NFL OC soon if he doesn't get a college head coach job.
Did you see him against Dallas?

I have been saying this for awhile now. Not trying to make it political or racial but we should get a black HC here. Why not? It will be easier for him to relate to the kids no doubt. It might help in recruiting considering who Fsu and scUM have as hc. I would prefer a former player from here so we can have loyalty and longevity with the next hire.

Brian Johnson puts on a helluva show, too.
Maybe we could get Angus for the half-time shows.

The drummer would probably “kill it” as an assistant

I heard the same thing about Musdump and Mcelstain. We have a way of making coaches quit. Even the good ones.
Muschamp should have been axed after the losing season: he got 1 more.

Butters death threat nonsense was a fireable offense. Dan’s not that dumb, which is a pretty low threshold.

Hell, a potato is smarter than Butters

Debbie Downer here: unless he leaves or pulls a Sandusky, we’re stuck with Dan through 2022 at a minimum
Debbie Delusional is more like it. He will be damn lucky to survive his next Georgia loss.

He wont survive next Oct 31 if he survives this one.

I know you guys don't agree but Coach Mullin is doing exactly what the University and UAA administrations want him to do. Have a nationally recognized football program that brings in enough revenue to fund all other sports and not embarrass the University with any tinge of scandal. Dr. Fuchs wants us to be known as a balanced institution like Stanford and not a football school like Bammer. From my viewpoint out West, President Fuchs is well regarded. Y'all may have a different take, being closer to Florida politics. Dan Mullin will be our coach until he quits, has three losing season in a row, gets caught in a significant NCAA violation, or dies. Just my humble opinion base on limited in person data.

What you are missing is the fact that the players aren't embarrassing the University but the coach is. National and State media have both had to discuss his behavior multiple times. Even his statements after the Kentucky game. The NCAA violations is a black eye, though not a huge deal in the grand scheme, but for a Athletic Association that prides itself on not getting those kinds of issues it's a huge deal.

Mullen might not lose his job due to performance on the field (though he should), but his unprofessionalism in front of the Mic could be what costs him.

Brian Johnson is probably the best option that we could get at a discounted rate, which would be needed to help compensate for Mullen's massive buyout and the UAA's love of saving money.

ACC land is where he needs to be. Matter of fact I might take Bronco Mendenhall over Mullen.

When we have had changes in Football funding it's been started from the Head coach... Pell forced the Association to change how they raise funds and how they used those funds. Spurrier changed the way funding was used and some upgrades to the building. Meyer forced the instadium upgrades to more modern S&C set up. Butters forced the indoor practice facility to be a full football field in size. The fact that Mullen hasn't been pressing for improvements tells a lot.

It does, and it may provide another reason why he was hired. With his relationship with Stricklin he was a safe hire and was accustomed to coaching a second tier program with limited resources. So he wouldn't push the issue with Stricklin or the AA. Saw a report produced in 2020 that UF led the Country in cost of football coaches buyout dollars of almost 25 million, since 2005. Just think if we were able to use that money to increase our recruiting budget. I also don't think Mullen is equipped to manage a large support staff of recruiting experts and analysts. Stricklin also hasn't pushed for more resources to provide support for football operations. We have plenty of staff in the Accounting Department plus 7 positions to support the plane, and don't forget Foley.

UAA wants gim to lose ridiculous games about once a month and be too lazy to recruit? I doubt it.

You think they just dont care? The admin may not.

We will see who is right, because the the Bullgators I was among last week were snarling long before the loss.

Some of you live in internet lala 0-10-1 land and are ollivious to reality.

Its not just a discounted rate thing. Most of the OCs will be cheaper. But he knows the playbook, players etc.
