What’s been your biggest lottery, gambling or raffle win?

I won about $200 one time from a gas station. The ticket for the drawing didn't cost anything so it really wasn't gambling.

I had a tip that about half the FSU team was going to be suspended for their bowl game against Kentucky (the online music course scandal, I didn't have any details, just that FSU was going to be severely outmanned). I bet a grand on the kitties before the news came out and I won.

I won a skin worth a little over $100 one time. Used to have Wednesday evening 9-hole skins during June-July-August. There were 10 of us playing one evening and there were 8 carry overs. The 9th hole was a 230 yd par 3 that was hard to hit and hold. Nobody hit the green and I pitched one in from 15 ft to win the pot. I was Jack Nicklaus for a few minutes and the club manager bought me all the beer I could drink afterward. Other than that, I won a cake at the Halloween carnival at school one year, only we couldn’t celebrate with beer.

Wait, does it HAVE to be money? 'Cause this one night I hit the jackpot with these two brunettes that felt like I won the lottery.

Maybe better.

OK, so maybe not the lotto or powerball lottery, but waaaay better than hitting $500 on a scratcher or making $1,000 on FSU losing their bowl game. Waaaaay better.

Yeah…. But does it really count if it is 2 brunette dudes?

I don’t know that I’d call it gambling, but I won a little over 2 grand in a poker tournament in Vegas.

When I was a road warrior and spent more nights in hotels than home, I played a LOT of online poker (when it was legal in the US).

Hit 5 out of 6 in the lotto...$7K....Was like :bananadance2:for about 10 minutes then looked at the ticket which was a quick pick. Matched the first 5 numbers and missed the sixth number by one digit, it was 41 and my ticket had a 40 :banghead:Only a $2,993,000 difference in pay out.

But from that moment on I have dedicated my life to winning either the Lotto or Power Ball and play every single draw.

Most I’ve ever won is about 10 bucks off a scratch off. Always scratch the symbol first and then the prize. Had a ticket where they all came up winners, for $2.00 each. It was a million dollar game so you can imagine how deflating that was.

my BIL won 50k off a scratch off

$75 off nickel slots in the airport in Vegas. It was enough to cover my nickel slot addiction for the weekend.

Seedy’s parents won an Infiniti car at the church raffle but took the cash equivalent.

A funny story of "almost winning" the lotto.

Years ago back in the early 2000's I played 2 lotto tickets each draw. I believe this was before they split and did 2 drawings, Wed. and Sat. like they do now. Anyhow back then I would buy the 2 tickets on Saturday and then get a Sunday paper(Orlando Slantenal)from the same 7-11 to read Sunday morning. Out of habit I would check the winning numbers in the newspaper with my tickets that I always fold up and put in my wallet.

On this particular Sunday morning when paying for the paper at the counter I noticed that the store printed out the winning numbers on a pink and white slip that looked sorta like a lotto ticket, same size and same color. So I decided to grab one off the counter and stuck it in my wallet on the side where my lotto tickets go.....:lol2:

Well of course being a creature of habit I forgot all about sticking it in with my other tickets by the time I drove home and started reading my paper. For some reason I'm a little superstitious about things and I would always wait until I had already read everything in the newspaper before checking the lotto numbers after which I would chuck the paper in the garbage....

Well of course the winning print out ticket was the first one that I pulled out and matched numbers with.... :lmao: After about 15 minutes of walking back and forth from my garage to my kitchen to check and recheck the numbers and almost hyperventilating at the same time I decided the first person I needed to call was my Mom(I was single at the time and recently divorced so my ex was going to be an extra good 2nd call :lol2:)

Long story short about the time I started to tell mom about winning the lotto I noticed the writing on the ticket that said "winning numbers" for that date....So I switched up gears and told my mom that I won the lottery when it came to moms and then told her I had to go...I heard her muttering something about being too early in the afternoon to start drinking as I hung up .

I won $1,300 in first poker tourney ever. $5 entry too, I didn’t even rebuy. It was bananas.

Also hit for $1,000 on a scratcher once.

Won $160 on an exacta at the horse races in the late 90s. Won $100 at the jai alai one time in the early 90s. Also hit 4 numbers on the lotto once, thinking it paid $90.
Best ever was the lined 5-gallon bucket cooler I won at at a Gator Club meeting in the early 90s (I was only a guest, so I think some of the members were jealous). Still have it and even brewed beer with it.
