Don't give Strinklin ideas now... he will give him an extension, a raise and a significant bump in his buyout.
I honestly think he did raise the buyout a little. but not 3 years worth. I think when he was hired it was 6.5 million and the buyout was 4 million per year owed, which would mean before the extension we had two more years on a salary and an 8 million buyout.

I'm honestly not sure where I got that thought now and I have no way of googling it.

Edit: found a tweet that said 12 million buyout declining by 2 mill per year, so it would have only been four million to can his lazy, nonrecruiting, vacationing azz.

If everyone agreed to match their OXBucks with real Cash, I think we could make a dent into getting rid of Cousin Eddie.. I am in! FYI $5,559 as I post this!

Stricklin has to go first. They need to get an AD that understands that this isn't Mississippi State. If we let Stricklin hire the next guy, we will end up with another guy that can't handle the weight of the program. Winning here takes extreme focus. We need a young, high energy guy. It's easier to win if you win on the recruiting trail.

This might explain the “want to fire Mullen but can’t at the moment” sentiment I heard.

In this day and age of cancel culture and #metoo bullsh*t, I'm not sure how Stricklin won't be fired. He literally blew off the accusations and gave the guy a raise and contract extension. You can't un-do that! Or can you? I agree - he needs to go first, then a cut throat AD comes in and cleans sh*t up!

I just hope he gets canned because he deserves it.
However, if I have learned anything in my 40 years in the business world it’s that there are more than one set of rules and outcomes are never consistent.

I don’t know what the real powers that be think about Scottie so I can’t predict an outcome. If they like his lazy a$$ woke approach (even if selectively applied) then nothing will happen.

Besides, nothing will change unless you get Fooley out of the building as well and that will really take some soul searching from the power base because they adore his sorry a$$.
