I walked into the Stratosphere casino in Vegas once about 20-some years ago, and just as I did some lady hit the jackpot on the big Wheel of Fortune slot machine right by the entrance. They were going nutso. The payout was something like 85,000 bucks. Pretty cool.

Most I ever won playing blackjack was about 600 bucks. I watched my buddy Sean win about 16 grand at the Hard Rock one time.

Won $50 on Q105 from Mason Dixon back in the day answering some sports trivia question

Kind of similar story... except it was trivia with WQYK-99 Country in Tampa.
They had a morning crew and opened up questions from TV, Movies and Music from 1970 and later.
I wrapped a music question inside a movie:
"In the movie Stripes - Bill Murray was walking back to his apartment in the scene after he threw the taxi keys into the water on the bridge. He's carrying his girlfriend's dry cleaning and a pizza and he's singing a country song. What is the song he's singing?"

They were only supposed to have the length of time of a commercial break to come up with an answer.
But... they couldn't do it in that time frame so they made a bunch of excuses and dragged it out over 20 minutes.
Even called another DJ friend -
Finally they gave up and I won two front row tickets to see Wynona Judd. Never mind the fact I wasn't real fond of her.
It was the principle of the thing.

So what was the correct answer?

There is a radio station in Huntsville that Mrs. Nalt listens too. They limit you to winning prizes only once every 60 or 90 days. She wins regularly too. We have been to several really great concerts thanks to her knowledge of trivia...
