I sat next to a players mom last night during the game (he's a former 5-star LB who only plays STs right now). She had A LOT of damning things to say about the team and coaches. She said: there's a problem in the locker room (team is divided, no camaraderie), there is definitely a 'seniority' issue w/ who plays, that there is no punishment/accountability for penalties and poor performance (no risk of being benched), that players miss meetings, are late to meetings, miss workouts, etc and there is no punishment for it. She said she expects several younger players to transfer out w/ the new transfer rule. It was very eye opening.
That was Donkey in drag.

Butters wasn't Stricklin guy, how much extra leeway does Mullen get because he is Stricklin's guy.
Unfortunately, a lot. Stricklin let the damn woman’s bb Coach stick around for way to long, even though he knew he was a POS. Mullen isn’t going to be forced out anytime soon.

We've discussed this in 10 other threads - but my opinion is Mullen gets 2022. Like Donk has said, when we get to the UGA game in 2022 and Mullen takes another Kirby Smart ass-raping, he's done. He's already lost 80% of the fan base....and counting. By UGA 2022, it will be just as bad as Butters vs. UGA 2017. I think we see some serious post-season attrition (transfers) and our roster will be FSU-ish in 2022. Hell, Mullen may decide to move on...but as we've discussed before, not many people making $7.6 million/year just walk away.
Please no.

My fear is that they walk down the hall and ask the "GOAT" former AD to take over as interim AD. Oooooof!
They will. Hell he has been acting all along.

They bright spot is perhaps we still have that former Barn AD on staff?

This would totally destroy the program. Worse than Butters.

Mullinz has already tanked recruiting and TWO transition "Just some leftovers who have no other chance to play Div1" class will have us fighting Vandy for last.

I was thinking this was until the Lsu fiasco and he still stuck by Grantham. It's hard now to be convinced he even wants to be here and will gladly take the buyout and leave after this year. I just find it real difficult to come up with a reason he should get 2022 besides if Anthony looks amazing the rest of year and we win rest of games. Even then, Anthony will only play in 2022 and be gone to the Nfl likely.

Dude, you're the one who's been saying repeatedly that he'd be gone as soon as UGA rolls him in 2022. I'm of the belief UAA doesn't have the balls to fire him, and don't want to pay the buyout. Unless he finds himself another job, I can't see him walking away from $7.6 million in 2022 (plus the buyout he'll get when he's let go). We'll see, but regardless of what happens the 'lost decade' continues.....

Is anyone else scared shcitless about who stricklin would hire next? Obviously change needs to be made but this time I'm not excited about it. They're going to hire another clown. My money is on Luke fickell. I had this bad feeling in my gut last time we'd get Mullen once chip Kelly turned us down. This go round Luke fickell will be the low hanging fruit and he'll fail miserably.

it's really funny that some of you people think the problem is Grantham.

Correct Amundo. As I say every week practically. The Head Coach is in Charge of every single thing related to the football team. if he does not like something a position coach is doing, he takes on that responsibility himself. The problem is the HC. Cousin Eddie is a Loser. Forget the empty trophy case. Watch the Friggin games. 10+ years of this by Cousin Eddie.

What about the guy that hired the head coach?

There should have been 2 meetings today at UF. First one between Mullen and Fat Todd where it is made clear that if UGA doesn’t face the best Defense they will see all year in 2 weeks then he is fired. The second one would be between Stricklin and Mullen where it is made clear that if AR doesn’t start in 2 weeks then he is fired. Gives them both 2 weeks to try and get their $hit together. Sadly, I’m guessing neither took place..

No. Fat Todd should have been fired yesterday morning. And Stricklin should of meet with Mullen yesterday and informed him if he loses to uga his dorky ass is fired on the field in Jacksonville.

this is all so depressing. I don’t believe anything is riding on this weeks game. hell they will probably celebrate upstairs if the dogs don’t completely run us off the field.

I don’t think Donk is pointing to the UGA game in 2022 as the end, I think he’s pointing to the game in 2 weeks as the end. Which is fine by me. A few pages back there was an argument over who disliked the hire the most which is silly, we all hated the hire…..but gave him a chance as what the hell were we supposed to do? Even Donk gave him a little praise from time to time, but quickly came to his senses when the inevitable happened over and over.

Hell, we hated him when he was our OC under Meyer winning championships. Anyone remember the play selection spinning wheel? Yeah, pretty much everyone here has hated Mullen even before he left to go to Cowbell.

He retained Grantham after he produced our worst defense EVER last year. He should not be afforded the opportunity to fire him now. Honestly, I’d tell Mullen he’s yours until you’re gone!
