I'm not gonna get into a vaccine debate. I'm currently not vaccinated but I definitely wouldn't say I'm against it. But if someone said I lose out on a couple million, I'd take that betch in a heartbeat.

By comparison to all other vaccines, we’re talking about a vaccine in its infancy being mandated with little time to gather data regarding long term negative effects. Think about all the commercials for various Rx medicines with long lists of possible side effects and legal disclaimers, and then explain to me why there’s no reason for someone to be concerned.

Even if fully vetted, I believe this is a violation of civil liberties.

And btw, after 18+ months of this drama I’m still waiting to see the media provide video of all the people lying dead in the streets from this Zombie Apocalyptic disease with a ~99.7% survival rate.

On one plane you have to admire the coach for standing up for his beliefs. From what I've read Rolovich seemed to indicate that his objections to the vaccine were based on religious reasons, but in my cursory reading I have not been able to find just what his reasons for a religious exemption are. Apparently he was raised Catholic but it is not clear if he adheres to strict Catholic practices today. I know that some people try to claim the COVID vaccines contain aborted fetal cells but technically that is not true; rather they have fetal cell lines that were used in some parts of production. Link: You asked, we answered: Do the COVID-19 vaccines contain aborted fetal cells?

I know that companies and government entities mandate all the time what employees can or cannot do in the workplace. Washington State University is not saying that Rolovich can't refuse the vaccine. What they are saying is that he can't refuse the vaccine and remain employed by the State of Washington. I also know that sometimes people are allowed to opt out of certain mandates due to religious exemptions.

Rolovich can sue if he wants to. I guess anybody can sue anybody for anything at anytime if they can find a lawyer to take their case. Washington State University and the State of Washington have their own cadre of lawyers who have looked into this vaccine mandate in detail. I would think it would be pretty hard as an individual to go up against a bunch of government attorneys who have the money and the power of the state backing them.

Presumably, he had a contract. Mine had a "contumacious conduct" clause. Had my school wanted to fire me, they might have claimed that my vaccine hesitancy constituted contumacious conduct. I would have consulted an an attorney about my rights.

Distant relative nursing in a South Florida hospital was told to vaccinate or be fired. Wrote Gov. DeSantis and the hospital backed down. Doesn't it all depend?

I worked in healthcare for almost a decade and I never had one. Mostly ER.

Hell would get sued for even asking about some communicable diseases. You know the one.

In the military I took whatever they put in my arm and they generally didn't even feel the need to tell me what it was, so Im sure I met any requirements they might have, but it wasn't required at all at any civvy hospital I worked at.
