What’s your favorite vehicle remake?

I must say that I wasn’t thrilled with the size of the new Bronco but the more I see them, the more I’m starting to like them.

I haven’t actually seen the Jeep Grand Wagoneer yet but I have fond memories of those as a kid. Starting price is $87k :eek3:

That Wagoneer looks awesome. Not sure how it will ride, but it’s hard to hear the name but not see the paneling

Are you thinking of buying one? I agree, the ads for the Grand Wagoneer look nice. However, the wood "paneling" on the original was nothing but a vinyl sticker. I know, I had an '89 GW, it was a really nice tow vehicle, but it was notorious for stranding me, by breaking down in stupid little ways. Never on the ramp, though (it always hauled my 23' Dusky), no problem, but it had a bad habit of just not starting, or dying in traffic. I wonder if the new ones will have the great leather interior that the old ones had....I drive an SUV now, and like it enough that I'm going to convert its interior to leather. And keep it for another 5 years or so. It's not worth it to toss the dice on a new and unknown model.

Bring back the Trabant and make all the self-professed commies drive it.

If that doesn't cure them of their disdain for capitalism, nothing will.

Those new Broncos look nice, but they’re just eye candy for now. Lots of issues with them getting recalled. Maybe they’ll work out all the bugs in a couple of years. Love the look of them though.
We just dumped our Escape ‘The Escrappy’ and bought a 2021 Honda Passport. It’s kind of a remake. They stopped making it in 2002 and brought it back in 2019. We really like it. We looked at the Bronco and decided our money was better spent on the Passport.

LOL. I wish I could afford it. I have two kids, a wife, a dog and a horse. I'll let you decide which one sucks the most money up. I'm lucky I have something that isn't like Fred Flintstone would drive. I did play around on their website though looking at all the features and packages. That being said outside of Wranglers I have never known someone that spoke highly of a Jeep product. It's a pretty sweet ride from the looks alone, but I have gotten much more thrifty in my life. I buy my clothes from places like Target, wont pay more than 15 bucks for a tshirt and can't justify purchasing something that is 1/3 of a house cost that provides me 0 equity. Now if I win the lottery who knows.

We must have had the same one! Okay mine was an 83, broke down in Colorado, Wyoming…… etc. I loved the ugly old beast, especially when I dumped the 360 for a 400 sbc. But the legroom in them sucked and the poshness of the newer F150 spoils you. Now if Stores made parking lots you could park in :)

Ladies and gentlemen... we have a winner.
The same company that also brought you the Pacer.

Don't over look its little cousin either... The Gremlin
My best friend's mom had one of these we would drive occasionally

At one point when I was a little kid, we actually had a used Ambassador that the previous owner used to deliver mail or something and the rear seat was removed... It was a giant,1970's, seat belt free playground in the back for us kids!

Yes - it's a beast and still going. Used it to pick up 1000lbs of tile yesterday for the bathroom remodel.
Took it to the cabin last weekend. Needed the 4wd for the roads. The well wasn't working and we had to take 5 gallon buckets to the creek to collect water so we could flush the toilets. We got to do some target practice too. It was a really nice weekend.

You guys still swimming?

I owned a Gremlin X
Back in the mid 70’s
I had a straight 6 in it with a split manifold and a Holley 600 4 B with headers and a 411 gear under.

It was so light, I could bring the front wheels off the ground.

Out ran several Mustangs and Camaro’s.

Pretty fast but constant transmission troubles.

Ok

I’ve also owned 2 Mustangs, one Cleveland a and one Windsor, 2 Chevelle’s , one 396 I built at 60 over with a low end Cam and one with a 454.
I also had a Torino with a race built 460 completely blue printed and tricked with two 4’s.
I had to run a 350 gear in the Torino because I couldn’t keep the rear wheels under me with a 375 rear end.
