Welp. Grantham isn't going anywhere. The bye was the chance to make a statement. No statement was made. Has Mullet announced the starting QB yet or is he still evaluating.
The only statement Mullen made by not making a change is that he's going to Titanic himself and go down with the ship.

He’s going to remain clever about it to “fool” UGA.

What's funny about this is that its not difficult at all to prepare for both QBs. You create your game plan for AR, and anytime EJ is in you play Cover 1 press man and sellout to stop the run, which is mostly what UK and LSU did. There is no strategic advantage whatsoever to keeping this close to the vest.

@Tilly ... is that him over there the same one here? Tilly at swampgas is an idiot.

Yep, the same dude. What an arrogant prick.

That board is an absolute disaster. Ya'll bust on me for getting on people here about thread titles and starting similar threads over and over - or starting a thread on every thought that pops in their minds. THAT is why I crack down on you people! (btw, you people make me sick!), I don't want this place to look ANYTHING like that disaster known as 'swampgas'!!

That doesn't answer my question and it was 2 or 3 depending on when Stoops was hired.

How long have you watch Gator Football, if you really think it was in year 2 or 3? Spurrier was hired in December 89, his first season was 1990... Bob Stoops first season with the Gators was 1996. The difference in the Mullen and Spurrier situation, is success. Spurrier had one official and one un-official SEC Championships (Probation due to Hall) going into year 4.

Long enough to forget the DC's of the 90's I looked it up it was Bates in 90, Zook till 93, Pruett in 94 and 96 then Stoops in 96. I just remember that Spurrier went through a few DC's before Stoops and that one of them was not good and it was Zook who was demoted to special teams. Bates went NFL and Pruett went to HC at Marshall.

Grantham isn't even held in high enough regard to be hired away by some other team to bail Mullen out.

Zook called the game against the Huskers in teh National Title game at the end of 95, Pruett already left for Marshall, took Kresser with him and had Randy Moss at WR.

As Douglas pointed out, no one would care if the team was winning. And again I'll say the bigger issue in all of this is who TG was when he was hired. There's a difference between a failed policy maker and Heinrich Himmler.

It was always a massive gamble to bring him in. He knew it. He didn't care. And he guessed wrong. Enjoy being fired as a result.

No, many are just as big of dumbasses as always. Here's a typical post, he starts out okay then goes full lost pumper thinking top programs will be fighting over Numbnuts if we were stupid enough to fire him. Then he goes full retard about last year seeing 4 losses as damn near a championship, exclamation point and all:jerkit: :

I disagree.

Your point is understood but when you are a competitor like Mullen, you make changes when you feel you need to. The real champs would fire their own father to win.

I do agree that we will see him beating down other teams on other teams if we make him jump or fire him which to me is a silly argument and idea anyway.

Win or lose right now, I see a path and am enjoying some games.

It was LAST YEAR that we were points from going to the playoffs and winning the SEC! That should buy you some time all on its own that a season like this one doesn’t even make the seat in warm.

Tilly is the same here as over there.

There is a board rule you can't personally attack a player or coach.

A statement like "Dan Mullen is an idiot" is not allowed but "Dan Mullen calls a ****ty game" is ok.

Not everyone can handle a place like Chatter.

Yeah...no, not really. The only rule they follow is if you aren't a pumper you will eventually get banned. If you are a pumper you can personally insult anyone with a differing opinion. @Tilly is loser and more wrong than a biden vote.

As far as your statement about not everyone can handle a place like chatter, you say that like there is something wrong with here. Every forum has people that just want to argue to argue but this place crowd sources the moderation. If you say something stupid you will quickly find out it is stupid. The people that can't handle a place like chatter are just people that cant handle being wrong. Swamp gas is full of a bunch of dumbarses who are and have been wrong about the last two coaches and the current one.

Preparing for 2 QBs is pretty difficult when the game played is different between the 2 QBs. However, its not difficult to prepare for a MuLLLen 2 QB system because its so dang predictable. Every third series you are going to see the 2nd string guy with MuLLLen and most of the time its just going to be a option read QB run up the middle.

What you aren't taking into account is how hard it is for an offense to run a 2 QB system. Not only does the starter miss out on reps all week, the other 10 players have to continually adjust to the differences of each QB. Their cadence, how they hand off in option reads, timing with receivers...and so on. But hey, MuLLLen is the smartest guy MuLLLen knows so Im sure he is doing a great job of preparing the team for it.

I like Tilly, he let my stuff slide.

Bazza though is probably going nuts on himself using angry tears that anyone would ever doubt a member of UF’s staff. He made Steve Russell look like a NegaGator with his blind unquestioning loyalty to MacNuss.

Likeability and being a moron aren't the same thing. Tilly is the moron leading the charge that the only thing wrong is Grantham. His buddy skink is the guy who only makes personal insults. Bazza is just a sad guy who you have to think is on the spectrum.

Mullen has no eye for talent, look at the idiots he's surrounded himself with as assistant coaches, he played Franks over Trask, he's playing Jones over Richardson, his recruiting classes suck. There is plenty of evidence out there that he is clueless when it comes to spotting ability in anybody.

There is nothing wrong with upgrading facilities across the board but to do it when you are ignoring the cash cow that brings the money to upgrade all the facilities is whats wrong. If he would get the football program back to where it should be we could have the taj mahal's for all the other sports and nobody would be upset about it either.

If you want more context on @Tilly, you can see this wuss shows up as having hundreds of posts, but if you look at his postings page, every single one is deleted. He has erased everything he ever wrote here.
