Admittedly a blanket, very vague statement, but no one polarizing. I get that Meyer himself would have some detractors or concerns, but I’d just like to think whoever it is at least isn’t absolutely despised by half to three quarters of the fan base. It really shouldn’t be that hard.

The second one was always a sticking point for me. But I’m not sure it’s realistic at this point. At the end of the day, we’re likely either getting that or someone recently fired because of the circumstances. It’s not 2002, 2004 or 2010 any more. Someone is walking into some serious issues and now two behemoths in our conference. We saw how well we cherry picked last time. Unfortunately we are in full “roll the dice” mode this go around.

I still would be on board with a guy like Campbell. I still like him and know most don't, but his team always plays hard, they don;t quit and he and his players look like they always care at least. I am at the point where I want to root for a team that might think or know they are good but that they want to get better every week, every day, every play.
