Wait and see what, exactly? I mean what the Fuchs else does anyone need to see?
I still remember keeping the Chump around for another year. It's obvious this admin does not want to fire him. Otherwise, why wait and see. Don't be surprised if the clown get another year.

When will Stricklin be fired? He doesn't need to be anywhere near the next coaching search.
Still picking on Stricklin are we? After all, he gave the baseball team a new stadium (even tho people still don't come), and don't forget the girls got a new park as well. He was just desperate when he hired Mullen. He'll do better next time.

Probably not. He will be retained if he finishes the season well.

That ship sailed after Jax. Stumbling to two wins against hapless opponents doesn’t constitute finishing well, especially after being blown out by Usce and winning a barn burner against an FCS opponent. You can keep moving the goal posts all you want, but it won’t change reality.

Saw this on another board. Notice who likes the Tweet. You think he’s worried about his boss for more than 2 more weeks?

I really think this is Mullinz problem. He hates recruiting. He'd rather be in his office drawing up plays or whatever. He doesn't want to be out on the recruiting trail kissing the butt of 17 to 18 year old kids. So, he tries to get away with the minimum. However, that isn't going to get you wins against bama, UGly or other programs who do recruit top 5 classes. The next coach needs to have a serious understanding of recruiting and has shown it in the past.

While many of us are already salivating at the prospect of Mullet Head's immenent firing the reality of the situation that would put us in is all to real. Here are the current openings for college football head coaches and it's not even Thantksgiving yet:
  • LSU
  • USC
  • Washington
  • TCU
  • Washington State
  • Virginia Tech
  • Akron
  • FIU
  • UMass
That's a LOT of openings for UF to navigate through to find a replacement and we aren't even talking about staff hrings that would follow. Tough year all around....

With ESD the landscape has changed, you have to get in the market early to also help secure the talent for the transition class. While we are dicking around waffling on what to do next. Athletic Departments with better leadership are making their intentions obvious, and letting recruits know a change is happening and possibly the direction of that change (ie TCU, UConn).

It's 2017 all over again for us... late to a crowded party. This is what worries me in terms of will Dan get canned this year.

I could see LSU and us being interested in the same candidate, none of those other schools should concern us. USC probably wants Franklin, and I wouldn’t think we’d have a lot of interest in him now.

Only one of those schools should really even matter to us, though it does not include miami yet, which would. It seems like Lsu has a very narrow approach to these searches and doesn't deviate much. So unless it's Aranda or Tucker that we're after, they shouldn't ultimately have much bearing either. Nor would subsequent openings at Baylor or MchSt.

The miami situation is the one to keep an eye on. There are similar grumblings there about commitment to football, and the recent move seems to suggest the fans and influential former players got their wish. So I don't think we see another Golden/Manny type hire. They will likely go big with either Cristobal and/or Kiffin. Either of those would be a disastrous scenario for us from a recruiting standpoint. If there's a silver lining though, it may be that between Norvell starting to gain some traction and miami making big moves(not to mention Smart), it may incite some of the boosters to insist on making a move now and going big.

So I think it's less about the timing and more about what we actually do this time. Outside of Lsu, we're the best job open on the eastern part of the country. We just need to strike, and then close.
