So Mullen is apparently not doing his weekly show from Spurriers anymore. A friend was working an event there last night and it was supposed to center around his weekly show, but they were told that it's been cancelled for the rest of the season. A lot of people there speculated that he was going to get fired, but I wonder if this isn't a Biden in the basement strategy so they can keep him.

As for weather, supposed to be 61 with a low of 42 there on Saturday. It’s already been colder than that here in Gville this year. It’ll be 37 and 36 here early next week. Again, nothing these kids haven’t seen and no excuse.

He doesn’t do that show out of the goodness of his heart. It’s part of his contract. This is just another piece of evidence that both parties have begun the process of tearing that to shreds. I do agree with Ox that it’s likely at his request given the nature of the calls they’re likely to receive. But you don’t just stop doing integral parts of your job if you still have one(beyond a certain date).

They've always been terrible at it. But there have never been comments like "haven't heard from them in months" like have surfaced recently. They're just not doing it anymore. Throwing a few new offers to kids isn't recruiting.
At this point, I think if some here saw a for sale sign in Mullen's front yard, they'd go, "Probably just downsizing, perfect excuse for the Administration to talk about his commitment to being here".

I keep going back and forth on this myself. I think a lot of the "signs" can be interpreted both ways, but I keep coming back to, he can't survive the debacle of this season no matter how incompetent our administration is. The spectacle of him quitting on us last year, the team quitting on him this year, the fans hate him, terrible recruiting, etc. You just know the last 2 games are going to be further debacles. I just can't believe he survives it. Firing him won't be cheaper next year and its a quick and easy way to throw the fans a bone and quiet the noise in the system.They've always been terrible at it.
