Lane Kiffin is our best option. I don't like it either. But it's true. We all know it's true. It just hurts to admit.

As Camus said, we must embrace the absurd.

Who else is there, really? Napier? Fickell? Cristobal? Aranda? Malzahn? Do you really think any of them are actually better than Kiffin?

Bob Stoops is a pipe dream. If we're going the route of fantasy, we might as well call up Urbs and see if he wants to come back. Jax would probably waive his buyout at this point. Make him fix what he broke. Let him bring us another Ryan Day to be head coach in waiting while he gives us 5 great years.

But outside of fantasy candidates, I don't see a better option than Kiffin.

I never thought I’d think Kiffin would be a good choice, but he may balance out the extreme wokeness in Gainesville. If nothing else he’d be interesting and not turn people off. As long as he brings in a legit DC and recruiting staff I’d be ok with it.

Ah yes, another guy looking at him 10 years ago, not today. He was 10-3 last year at FAU. He's 9-2 right now. First time Ole Miss has EVER gone 7-0 at home, if they beat MSU next week will be first 10 win regular season ever... yeah, he "fizzles everywhere." Wouldn't have considered him even 3 years ago, absolutely would today because of his total progression over the last 5-7 years (starting with Saban hiring him).
I said he fizzles. Its only has 2nd year at ole miss. He has yet to prove he can sustain his success. He had 3 years at FAU two good and one 5-5. Think longitudinally my friend

It's like some people have been in a cave on in a country where Kiffin news is censored.

He'll probably be back to talk down FAU. But it's all relative - in 20 years of football they were mediocre at best, until he came there for three years and won two conference championships. He left for Ole Miss and they went right back to sucktown.

I’m not aware of Kiffin having committed any rules violations since Saban added him to the Bama staff. That three-year stint not only saved his career, it catapulted him to a new level of respect and made possible the return to head coaching. He’s made an immediate difference at FAU and Ole Miss, which is eighth in the AP poll.

I think UF knows it has to consider him.

Oh, I do, in spite of not finishing Kindergartner or having any earned doctorates! ;)

I'm pretty sure I was the first here on the Kiffin train for the reasons I have stated, he's grown up over the last 7 years, and he is now a CEO firmly in control of his second program in a row.

You are a dinosaur if you are looking for a coach that has had 5+ years of AWESOME success at a P5 school. Times have changed, just like in the work world, where very few EXCELLENT young people stay more than 2-3 years before making their next jump up.

PS I did look at EVERY FAU loss weeks ago to see exactly who they were against, and whether on the road or at home. I even posted about it the other day to Ox. Look at all the phenomenal "P5 loss experience" training he got there running his offense with FAU players at Wisconsin or against Frost at UCF. Think longitudinally my friend. ;)

Let me fix that for you.

I never thought I’d think Kiffin would be a good choice, but he may balance out it's a moot point because of the extreme wokeness in Gainesville.

When you put it that way..I’m certainly more open to the idea now then I was earlier. That only means he will turn us down in a publicly humiliating way though..;)

Please God please let Lame Kitten be hired by someone else today so we dont completely embarrass ourselves any more than what we have. I know we are lower than Tenn. but we dont have to act like them. Please stop the embarrassment now. Thank you.
