unless (Florida athletic director Scott) Stricklin has some huge, hush-hush ace-in-the-hole hire up his sleeve - This quote bugs me the most, it's how Fooley brought us the yellow toothed guy.....
I feel that may be the deal.

I’m not aware of Kiffin having committed any rules violations since Saban added him to the Bama staff. That three-year stint not only saved his career, it catapulted him to a new level of respect and made possible the return to head coaching. He’s made an immediate difference at FAU and Ole Miss, which is eighth in the AP poll.

I think UF knows it has to consider him.
I don't care how much they consider him as long as they don't hire him.

I did a few weeks ago, and looked at who he lost too and what he learned running his offense with FAU players against Wisconsin at Wisconsin or UCF under Frost.
As a South Floridian I was aware of his whole tenure at FAU and he did great there. Nobody else was paying attention in message board land, they thought it was a reach when he was hired at Ole Miss but he earned that job. And has done well with it.

It's fine to have an opinion @revgator, but if you show your work ("he fizzles everywhere") and it turns out to be an uninformed opinion, expect to get called out on it.

The more you push Kiffin the more I don't want him.

I've already said fifty times they're not hiring him. I'm only arguing against the factually incorrect claims that he's not a suitable candidate. In the end it doesn't matter. Your reverse psychology powers are not going to work this time, sorry.

Brian Johnson, jamey Chadwell and Hugh Freeze would probably be my top3 of realistic guys.

I'm not gonna be mad if we hire kiffin just because of the excitement and pub we'd get. I'd be open to bill Obrien too pending on what kinda staff he brings in.

Fair enough. Respect.

Ive followed kiffin for a while and for kicks and giggles like to keep track of coaches and player who were marquee at one time.

While I agree Kiffin could come in and have success quickly I dont feel theres enough data to guarantee he would stay 3/4 years. Im just tired of the coaching carousel and for that reason i would not like Kiffin here

I've been talking to a bunch of my dwag friends the past couple weeks about Florida firing Mullen. Every single one of them have said if so I hope they don't go after Kiffen. Even these dumb fuchs know Kiffen with the right d coordinator would clean house in Gainesville. He'd take back the state in recruiting over night.

Any chance Strick will outsource this job search?

I really don’t want him to pick a single coach at UF, football or otherwise.
