Can someone explain to me the Billy Napier hype? I don’t get why article after article talks this guy up. What he’s done in the Sun Belt is impressive. But, that doesn’t say anything about him being able to recruit against Smart, Saban, Jimbo…etc.

Napier spent big on google search to boost his listing in order to get out of Loosianer

because of his total progression over the last 5-7 years (starting with Saban hiring him).
My obsternation is that Kiffin has let "hard knocks" learn him some good lessons and I ain't in no way tired.;) In his on-field TV interviews, he seems reflective and honorable.?? (Is that acquired wisdom.? We can hope.)

Now the question is, does Kiff have what's required to plow through the debris-field that Mullenihilism has left scattered on the UF grounds. (We can only hope. Lawdy, can there be hope after Mullen.?) And, who knows, through his life lessons (losing beautiful wife & kids, not really having that stellar HC career - yet) maybe Kiff has a new flame-focus towards getting success after success.? If it's Kiffen, I hope he leads the charge to dominate "in-state" recruiting, by a long space. Hey, how about he goes into Bama and steals the best there.

Ler's just get on board with enthusiasm that inspires excitement in all potential recruits ... something Mullen's haughtiness turned off.

All of you hung up on his smartass attitude would like him better if he became our smartass. If nothing else you would like the results.
Right triple G. Let him become smartasser here by tearing up our opponents. Kiffen does seem to have his feet on the ground now, such that he learns game after game. Never had that with the anointed QB-garube.

Finally, whatever HC UF gets, where does this switchover process leave the useful "stars" on our team, what transfers will this switch attract?
I imagine whatever HC comes, he'll have to do a super recruiting job to get AR to want to stay,?? Is EJ coming back? Next season, Florida's QB needs to run only in ad-lib scrambling and needs to fire rocket-speed air-flight passes. UF defense needs to play football much like they had been learning all their lives -- emphasis on positioning and textbook wrap-up tackling. IMO, it's gonna take a Vince Lombardi-type CEO to crush UGa-Smarts.

Hurry up and do it right. Let's get going Gators. Get that foul taste out of Gator FB.

Ox, give me your top three wish list. Seriously who would you like to see AND would be interested in UF. Asking for a friend
Bob Stoops would interest me, in terms of recruiting and actually building a strong program from the ground up.

Honestly all the rest of them seem like the same guy. I don’t particularly like any of the candidates.

When you get a man crush you really go all out. Next you'll comment about the weight he's lost and his ass looking better by the day.
Actually Ox that's pretty funny. But if the truth be told for me at this point I wouldn't give a damn what the coach looked like or if he even wore a tutu on the sidelines. If he can [quoting CONAN the Barbarian], "......crush [y]our enemies, see them driven before [you]us, and to hear the lamentation of their women!” I would be swilling kegs of glory into the evening.

In the interest of full disclosure….if Bob Stoops was interested he would be my first choice.

Stoops interests me IF he's going to bring in a mixture of established coaches and young ace recruiters. The landscape of college football has completely changed and it worries me if we are targeting a coach that has been out of the game for a significant amount of time, even a coach that is the stature of Stoops. It's become a young man's game and we need a coach that is willing to adapt with the times and has a firm grasp of what recruits value (social media, NILs, etc). This is why Kiffin should be a frontrunner. That said there is no sure fire homerun out there in my opinion. It's best to pick a media savvy, forward thinking coach that is willing to exhaust every resource (fair or not) to compete with and beat the big boys. An elite recruiter is a must.

Yeah, I don’t think the “want to” is there anymore. I’m sure he misses a lot of it, but that doesn’t equate to tenacity.

I don’t think he’ll be interested. His name just pops up for every opening. If he did come back I think he would be rejuvenated and this is a place he could really turn around. It would be a great challenge for him.

What I can't believe is people are falling for the Bob Stoops thing again as if its a possibility because that gator hater bianchi says he heard he's interested. Its embarrassing and on par with how UTooth always throw that Gruden rumor out there when they are on the hunt.

I bet bianchi is giggling with his ucf homos over it too
