Donkey is tri-polar.Well, nobody does over the top hatred like @Swamp Donkey .
He is 5-0 this year in one score games.
He was 6-1 in one score games in 2020.
11-1 in tight games doesn’t last.
That averages out over time. He’s been lucky. Take the App St missed FG after he couldn't do 5-2=3 level math. Luck goes away. Would any of you be wanting this guy is he was averaging 3-4 losses, because that’s what the scores suggest he is. A 3-4 loss guy with a lot of recent luck.
Take Urban for example. Not a single one score win in his undefeated 2004 season.
Not all records are the same.
Best thing Napier has going is that he is not from my bucket of shyte list that results in me being done watching: Clawson, Campbell, and Mark Stoops.
Yeah, I'm a Petty fan but damn, ENOUGH!
I agree with your sentiments above.
Plus, It sort of tramples all over "We are the boys", which is a real tradition.
I'm thinking we can rid ourselves of "back down" along with the loser demons we are excorcising from the locker room and players. One fel swoop, Demon Get out!
Then bring back GATORBAIT!
This is one thing I don't understand. Who gives a shcit if he has an accent? Spurrier has a southern draw. Is he retarded?Ed O is the biggest, fattest, whitest, ugliest moron any of us have ever seen, yet he can recruit like nobody's business. Have you seen Kirby Smart? He looks and sounds like a dumber version of Gomer Pyle.
When are people going to realize looks (or speech) don't have anything to do with recruiting?
I agree. Seems like every time I get into it, we back down and lose! I am friggin broken from the post-attentive-Meyer era. Now we get McElwain lite! Think ESpN or the SECN will start a McElwain Tree graphic? (for the record, I know McElwain personally as he recruited my son to CSU and I like him...but come on!)My biggest issue is that it’s quite contrived. Great traditions start themselves and are typically associated with great moments. Lawrence Wright and his gator bait chant before the noles and 95 is a prime example. We introduced “won’t back down” and proceeded to lose that game, the next, were blown out in Jack, lost at home to FSU, fired a coach, and finished 5-7. It should have never seen 2018.
What's your take and what's the talk down there on Napier?Allan Taylor, Gator sports writer was on Finebaum...it looks like Napier is their choice.
The "won't back down" thing is awkward. The few games that I've been to since 2018 I make sure I use that time to take a piss. That's a tradition that probably should be scrapped. My biggest issue is that it’s quite contrived. Great traditions start themselves and are typically associated with great moments.
