I love what Im doing is not no.

No is no.

I don't think it's going to be Stoops and I haven't since 2001. But that isnt him saying no.
I really haven't wanted Stoops prior to this latest opening. Perfect timing now though. .if he wants to get back into the game. And you're right.. thats not a "No".

My question is this, and it's curiosity what others think...was Trask better than we all thought and he simply needed opportunity to show it or was Trask a byproduct of Mullen and his ability to development and adapt his O to Trask? Because he wasn't able to develop Franks (his biggest issue was in between the ears) so was Mullen clearly responsible for Trask or was Trask responsible for Trask?

Let's put it this way, the evidence of this year is that Mullen is not developing a QB to pass first. I would guess that Mullen gave Trask almost no thought until Franks struggled and he knew that Jones was not even close to ready.

I suspect the only reason Mullen put Trask in against UK is that UF was way behind and Mullen did not want to put Jones in in such a situation. I suspect he expected to lose to UK again and to start Jones the following week, but Trask rallied UF and so Mullen was stuck starting Trask until he had an excuse to change Jones, but he never got the chance. So I see Trask as the one who made Mullen's offense work for him rather than Mullen adjust his offense for Trask. I guess there was some adjustment in the play calling to suit Trask.

I think we should take a look at Brock Spack. Guy is a tough as nails coach, has taken lowly Illinois State to great heights including almost upsetting a Carson Wentz led North Dakota State in the National Championship game. He also has a killer stache

Not sure if posted already or trustworthy, but...

Just posted this in the other thread:

I just got some information that will thrill you Napier haters. LSU is down to two guys: Baylor's coach and Napier. If they want Napier, he's theirs. If they take the other guy, he likely comes here.

I have no idea how lousy our fallback options could be. Kiffin is not nor ever has been under consideration.

Brock Spack ? His last name sucks. It just sits there at the end ... waiting on a -ling or -altimeter or -erbung.
Hard Pass.

We’ve now been turned down by Stoops five times. That has to be some kind of record.

For the record, that drunk Franz Beard and Hollywood Blob have been turned down by Stoops 5 times. How many times Florida was turned down is probably a few less that 5.

Seriously would we want a coach dumb enough to take the job at LSU over UF? The LSU job is worse in many dimesions to UF: The SEC East v. West, There may be more big schools in FL, 3 v. 1, but UF's population is 4 times Louisiana's. Florida is a richer state with more resources to tap instate, though when oil prices spike wealth in LA goes up.

Interesting you ask this, because I was told more, nothing that will surprise anyone. UF is a second-choice school to programs like LSU because of an obvious lack of commitment to football, and the declaration that they are going to be lowering stadium capacity doesn't help either. One saving grace is that UF's recruiting budget incredibly includes access to TWO private jets, which most schools don't have.

Many people died to bring me this information. Oh wait, you pretty much already knew all that.

LSU is easier to recruit.
Fan base is fanatical
Not near as strict as UF
Big time boosters
Not near as WOKE
Better facilities
Fuchs and UAA

But:

It's Louisiana not Florida
Top talent in So FL
The University has far less money
The state has far less money

Easier to compete at LSU for the NC...O did it, Les Miles did it...No Really
