I don't know if he's soft on them. maybe LT can opine. but to me they look more like their bodybuilding than getting strong.
Don't show me six packs and biceps. Show me squatting and benching.
Yeah, back in my day there was a corner of the gym that most didn't go. Had a squat rack, dead lift station, 1 bench. Lots of chalk dust in the air and noise that sounded more like an attacking Viking ship than a gym. Pretty boys didn't come over there and spent more time working on their abs in front of the mirror.
You didn't see any six pack abs over there, just large amounts of muscle covered in a relatively thin layer of fat.
I look at our LBs and they look like Alabama's safeties. Their LBs don't looked ripped, they just look strong.
