Nailed it. As usual.

The part about teams that have lost a couple game being dangerous should be required viewing before every game we're favored to win.

Sorry Bud but I didn’t see or hear any whining there, if that’s what you’re saying. He kept it straight and narrow.
Fans can say and do whatever they want, it's the way it is. A 10 minute diatribe complaining about fans being fans is the definition of whining.

The first thing I saw that said the end is near was when the staff were having to carry Saban's feeble ass off the field after a loss. He just looked ELDERLY.

Now he sounds ELDERLY. Corch could have written that babble.

Who will be Bama's next coach? It appears that question is becoming very relevant. I dont think it will be Dabo.

Elderly or not, he's the same damn coach he was a decade ago. The best in the business, and it isn't close.

I think Saban is in it for one more NC and then he's gone. He wants to go out as the best collage coach in history even above the bear! One more NC would cap off his carrier as the best HC ever in collage football above all others and I think then he will retire. Then Ala will go back to half arse again for a decade or so.

I agree with him 100%. Everything he said is true, except the players are closer to being professional both in the way he runs his program and their NIL deals than he implied.

But he cannot and the players, coaches, staff etc. cannot let that dynamic get under their skin. They have maintained excellence better than anyone. Entitlement is corrosive and so is reacting to it.

It’s either that or cling to the intoxicating elixir of fan love like Bobby did, dragging the program down until they pry your fingers off of it.

Yeah, his team reminds me a little of our 97 and 98 teams. probably the most talented teams we'd ever had at that point, obviously Urban raised the overall talent level to sky high levels later, but they were more concerned about their NFL careers than championships. Just never quite pulled it together and were happy to be good, not great.

I hope that is what happens to him! I don't want him to do any better but he want's that last NC to top things off IMO. I would be laughing with everyone else if he did implode

I'd be pissed too if I'd only been paid over a hundred million dollars by the fans and then they had extremely high expectations for me.

Nothing against the mid-90's teams, but my favorite TEAMS will always be the 89 to about 93 guys... felt like scraps that Steve got to play as a unit, especially the defenses.

yeah thats really the rub. the man makes more money than God. But God forbid someone expect near perfection for near infinite money.

He reminds me of someone who demands the best of everyone, but then doesn't like it when they demand it back of him.

IMO, Saban has delivered far more since 2008 that the fans have ever asked of him. If he walked away tomorrow I, for one, would be grateful for all he has done for the University of Alabama. Even if he were to take another HC job at another SEC school... I'd hope Bama beat him/them but I would still be thankful for what he brought to Tuscaloosa.

Sure. If like Spurrier he knows when it's time to hang it up, you'll be grateful.

But if he goes all booby bowden calling his players by number because he can't remember their names while plodding his way through a few 6 loss seasons, you'll turn on him quicker than your mom can unbutton her overalls.
