If your religion comes between you and your neighbor, then you have the wrong religion.

Actually, it depends on the definition of “comes between.” There’s a segment of society that suggest if you don’t completely agree with, support and shake the pom poms for someone else’s beliefs, then you are against them and likely a racist, whatever __________ophob fits their feelings, etc. It IS possible to have differences in beliefs, convictions, etc and still treat people with respect. But the “tolerant” crowd doesn’t accept that position.

There’s a TON of people who, believe it or not, don’t have all the mysteries of the world figured out. Some, like me, still have room to learn and mature. Whatever someone’s beliefs, the chances they (we) have attained perfection in the art of “practice what you preach” are zero.

We're in the same boat and I agree. The people who get up in arms because someone disagrees with them are the ones who let their religion (i.e., their personal beliefs and pride) get in the way of loving their neighbor as themselves. As a Christian, I'm naturally going to disagree with the majority of the common beliefs and practices in the world, but I'm still going to do my best to treat everyone as I would want to be treated, which is easier said than done.

Agreed! Admittedly, there are Christians who tend to be extremely judgmental, and therefore the popular stereotype is not baseless.

Despite our best efforts, it’s hard to hold fast to convictions and NOT offend someone along the way.
