It just goes to show that with all the resources at A&M, ANYONE can be a 8-4 coach, just like at UF. It's finding those who can consistently win more that's the hard part.
Exactly. Anybody can be an 8-4 coach, like SOS was when we hired him. But 10-2, in the SEC? Now that's an impressive record.

Once again, Jeff Fisher convinces himself that he's all but hired, this time at his alma mater, only to have the rug pulled from under him yet again. Read somewhere that he sold the '89 Ford Aerostar he'd been living in for a plane ticket from Nashville to LA. Introduced himself to passers by in LAX as the "new head coach at Usc", causing an uproar of autographs and pictures. Turns out they never even considered him. Left without shaking hands and was last seen at a bus stop. They can't keep doing this to this guy.

Serves him right for showing up drunk.

He was the existing coach at the time.
Several years later his voice is not as important to them

Except he’s once again their HC while they seek alternatives.

Look, I’m not saying he’s going to make the pick himself and that settles it but they’ll clearly seek his input on the matter. He’s been a presence around their program for over 20 years, quite a few of the current bigger name options coached for him at OU so he has valuable insight to offer and they trust him enough to bring him in as interim HC. It’s not like they view him as some looney tunes azzhat like, say…The Boz.

That's odd, Kingsbury said no?
Regardless of what happens after he says no, why in the hell would you be surprised a young guy, with a top shelf NFL qb, currently projected as the #1 playoff seed would ever leave the NFL and Pheonix for norman oklahoma? That would go down as one of the single most stupid decisions in sports history.

What the media is saying is that LSU has to have their "big" name all wrapped up since they've been so quiet. I call bull****.

Let's see, and please anyone add to the list.

They wanted Jimbo - he said he's be the dumbest human ever to go to LSU

They wanted Mel Tucker - extension signed

Then they floated Aranda - extension signed

Then on to Riley - he said eff you

Then Napier - he said screw you

Then back to Riley - he again said eff you

Now back to Aranda, and maybe Mark Stoops, or Matt Campbell.

Am I missing anyone?

Norman is easier to spell could be one reason.
