Flipped back and forth between Gator game and Heat game tonight, both on Bally Sports, and got to see two frustrating, disappointing losses for the price of one. What a bargain!

Defense too often overplayed and gave up slips and back door cuts or left our feet on defense. Our defense basically kept us in the game overall but probably gave up 12-14 points on the slips and cuts. We are very effective on ball, squared up and in your grill. But too often overplayed or gave angles that they exploited.
I’ve said since opening game we are going to be inconsistent shooting from outside…particularly from 3. We don’t have classic pure shooters. We will alternate hot and cold. Tonight 4-22 from 3.
Our ballhandling is suspect.

3 point shooting will hinge on Appleby and Jones, both pretty streaky. Guess the good news is we shot that poorly from 3, turned it over a ton, and only lost by 7 on the road. Going to be a tough out all season.

I did miss the game but after reading the comments I think I have a good idea of what happened.
UF went on the road against a team and coach that had the audacity to watch film and studied our tendencies and took away what we like to do.
As a result CMW was clueless as to how to respond and the players reverted back to playing the way they did at their previous stops.
I hope this game was a fluke and lessons were learned but I am not sure I can convince myself this will happen.

Like all coaches do, surely Mike White will get these fellows back on his tracks that he has drummed into their team machinations that will prevent such floppiness from being thrust on us by savvy coaches of our opponents. Savvy, savvy coaches do not come through any transfer portal.?? Let's go White.! We don't want to see bumbleplay.
