Napier's defense is stout...which is good given that his offense seems anemic at times. Looking at their schedule, they scored less than 30 points in seven games and won six of those. Of their 11 wins, five were by less than 7 points.

Compare that to us....we scored less than 30 points in six games and won one of them. Of our six wins, five were by more than 7 points.

The thing that concerns me about Napier is his record of purposfully designing and running a ground possession offense. He apparenty recruits for that. The problem with that is the intagables in gamess where you find yourself 14-17 points down and suddenly you've got to throw the ball and your offense isn't designed for catch-up. In the SEC with that philosophy you are going to look exactly what you are: a .22 calibur gun in a .357 magnum world.

$1.8 million (2021) - DC/OLB Todd Grantham // $1.5M- DC Pete Golding
$630,000 (2021) - RGC/OL John Hevesy // $757k- OL Doug Marrone
$630,000 (2021) - PGC/WR Billy Gonzales // $575k WR Holman Wiggens
$495,000 (2021) - AHC/TE Tim Brewster // ($750k) ST/TE Drew Svoboda
$495,000 (2021) - ST/RB Greg Knox // $535k- RB Robert Gillespie
$475,000 (2021) - DL David Turner // $700k DL Freddie Roach
$460,000 (2022) - S Wesley McGriff // $800k- S Charles Kelly
$400,000 (2022) - QB Garrick McGee // $1.1M- OC Bill O'Brien
$400,000 (2022) - LB Christian Robinson // $695k LB Sal Suneri
$260,000 (2022) - CB Jules Montinar // $525k- CB Jay Valai

Look how Bama's salaries are all different and specific, and ours were just arbitrary round figures. We had two guys making $630k, two making $495k and two making $400k. It's like they just slotted amounts for positions with no regard to the particular coach who would fill them. No negotiations based on what each individual coach brings to the table.

He designed his offense to best compete in that conference, though. Doesn't necessarily mean he won't do something different here.

I think it's the visual they don't like. I can tell you for a fact that there was a TON of resentment towards the FB program during the SOS years due to all the attention and money going into the program from the other sports on campus. The womens soccer team was always talking shyt, so, when we won the natty in 96, UAA sent the soccer team on a European world tour where they got scrubbed up damn near every match. I remember Mo Collins sitting in the TR bytching that "we win a NC and they send the soccer team on a European vacation". Didn't sit well at all.

Catering to sports like women’s soccer is how we got to this lowly state.
Spend the money on football and tell the women’s soccer players to be thankful that their sports team is solely funded by football already.

@Great White Buffalo, I heard that Ox is going to be starting a new program at his Re-Education Camp called, "Understanding Sarcasm." Should I sign you up?

Let me know now, the list is filling up fast. You're not the only one here who needs help with that, believe me.
You really getting your panties in a wad over a facepalm/dislike? I don't remember even giving it, but maybe I thought your sarcasm sucked. It's wouldn't be the first time, believe me.

Damn that’s some next level passive-aggression right there. Why not just be direct and say “I thought your sarcasm sucked.” It’s punchier. And then he could say “Not as good as your mother sucks.” Then you could say “my mother’s jaw hurts too much from all the sucking to do a very good job of it.”

I like Gordon Liddy’s sarcasm, much better than I like the back of his mom’s throat and that rotten abrasive snaggletooth that digs into the side of my pecker. I always make jokes, like “hey that’s not the window at the Watergate hotel. That’s the side of my pecker” and “I hope you’re not recording this,” and sometimes I pull Richard out and shake him around saying “I’m not a crook” when she’s doing that, but she’s too stupid to understand.
