The Bear on Gameday picked UL to win. All the panel seemed high on Napier and like the way he handles himself.
Meanwhile I learned that OK State DC Jim Knowles walks around practice drinking out of a giant coffee mug that has, "THAT AIN'T IT, BRO," written on it, and when somebody Fuchs up he just points at the mug.

He probably wanted to breakdown how he managed to retain his $12 million dollar payout after being a failure. What the hell is it about football coaches and CEO's when they fail they get HUGE payouts? I must not be living right.
In any event I hope to see a game with lot of different plays and schemes to sort of get an idea of how Napier thinks during these games. Is a a great gameday coach like SOS or a great planner that can make adjustments when needed during the game. I'll be zeroed in that's for sure....

Dan didnt have success Urban did, after forcing Dan to leave some of his retarded ways behind. Some of them.
We scored nearly as much with our defense and STs.
Yes you can win with great offense and mediocre to good defense. Or you can win with great defense and mediocre to good offense.
But the way to put lots of points on the board and hide warts is to pass, period.

Huge addendum here: you had better have a DOWN FIELD PASSING GAME when intangables and better matchups put you behind so you have a decent chance to catch up and win. If you find yourself down 14-17 down and all you can do is run, run, run you are done, done, done.

when I say passing game I mean vertical passing game.
sideways passing is just equivalent of a toss sweep to both the offense and the defense.

Absolutely. I get you meant vertical. Great coaches design their offense and defense around their teams capabilities. Right now, other than AR15, he doesn't have a lot to work with. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with until he can recruit the players he has in mind to compete in the SEC. Let's hope he's that damn smart....

Next year is a freebie. Mullen garbage left with no play makers at WR and QBs whose primary talent is QB draw.
We aren't going to win much.
