I think it's pretty obvious Evers was told to either shop around or was told we wanna sign 2 qb's this cycle.
Just getting rid of the dead wood. Evers said that Billy shared his vision with him. I get the idea that the vision was not encouraging to Evers.
It looked like he was wavering when LSU had no coach, but with Kelly coming on board, he has been very pro / pumping LSU in his tweets lately.
I figured it was pretty likely that he wanted to bring in his own guy. It's pretty common.
Even if you are too lazy to look, it would seem like the fact that he was committed to Dan Mullen who runs his quarterback more than just about anyone would make it obvious that he is a dual threat quarterback who is perfectly happy running the ball.
I like this kid he's got good passing skills and run's well. He doesn't flinch when defenders are about to get him and still makes his throws plus scrambles outta the pocket and throws on the run well also. He runs better than Trask or Franks did which is good and seems to be pretty accurate with the ball. We would be in a good place if we got him to UF IMO.
