watch Wilson. UF defense has always needed a dominating presence at safety to be formidable. He goes straight downhill and disrupts passes or puts hurt on opponents. Been awhile since anyone in the defensive backfield has developed any talent for such play.

Seems that the Napier crew with more time to coordinate their recruiting abilities can pull in more 4*& 5* by February.?
Plus, the Gator players we now have can talk and spread good vibes about their new setup, with all its promise. That can create its own current flow in our direction. We started in a hole and strode pretty well on solid ground.

Armella didn’t look real sporty in that rep. Taylor on the other hand…
I doubt the guy is really as bad as he looked, but at least in that clip it seemed like he knew the DL was pretty formidable. Too high with no weight in front of his feet to catch and control the rush. Guy threw him aside with one arm. Would have loved to see some more reps before simply saying “F$U can have him!”

Yesterday gave me reason to have some confidence that things are better off. We were definitely better off the Day Mullentham was gone. But with what Napier has done in a such a short time tells me in a profound way several things.
1. That the ship has turned away from the water fall and is not in immediate danger.
2. Napier able to pull in the talent with such little time.
3. He is about the program and culture and not Prima Donnas.
4. The Fact that Mullentham didn't do shyt for crootin' at all.
5. More importantly reading the reaction from all the Chatterer's on this board.
We have not had a lot to cheer for over the last few years. Even watching Napier's press conference, I just but cannot help and like what he does. Especially at the end telling the reporter when asked about AR and his playing/surgery, "this is about recruiting today".
Yesterday was a great Damn Day for UF. If he can do this in two weeks........errbody else better take and be on notice.

I believe that Shemar is a 5 star on Rivals and Wilson is a 5 star om 247. In the old days we would count that as 2 five stars without blushing.

Are these ratings before or after you remove a quarter of the class from 2017,2018, and 2019 that didn't make fall camp?

The problem with Mullen is all these classes were fool's gold. For example Steele was his 5 star for 2019, and he bolted. In the same class Jalon Jones was a criminal. How many were signed only not to qualify later? I recall there were maybe 8 or so from 2018 alone. The amount of attrition in those classes were well above average, largely because he is lazy, and had to settle for table scraps. Beggars can't be choosers.
I would hope that Tator's 50 analysts and 10 position coaches can vet those kids better and result in lower attrition.

6 kids from the 2017, 2018, and 2019 failed to make fall camp the year they were recruited. 2017 CC scandal, 2018 and 2019 all all different kinds of issues.
