No, but he applied a leather belt to my ass when he felt he needed to.

And I am grateful that I learned there are consequences for poor choices and bad behavior.
So just to sum up, you think getting paddled or the belt as a kid, by your parents, for bad behavior is equivalent to one grown man kicking another grown man bc the second didn't capitalize on a scoring opportunity during a game?

I don't disagree with the narrative your pushing about discipline and punishment. My parents did the same, but the equivalence you are trying to make is ridiculous.

I'll put it this way, if I was an adult, playing a game and another adult came up and kicked me for missing a scoring opportunity during that game, he's going to get his ass beat, bad. How's that for discipline?

And by the way, for you morons acting like urban kicking another adult professional was no big deal... Well, I told you so.

What's ironic about that is Lambo would probably have gotten more respect for doing that than running to a leftist media outlet

Urban didn't do himself any favors but this encapsulates today's soft, coddled generation...

1) The hiring of the Iowa strength coach...it's funny to me how the Stephen Smith's and other leftist sports talking heads of the world always say a player who got into trouble with the law deserves a second chance....but yet they criticize Urban for giving that guy a second chance and he wasn't even a criminal? I know the answer I am just putting it out there

2) Grinder girl.....certainly not smart on his part but also it had nothing to do with football....can coaches not go out and have fun now?

3) Lambo, Marvin Jones, and Robinson all are the same thing....soft ass divas who don't like criitcism or being held accountable.....should he have kicked Lambo if its true? No....but I have no problem yelling at him/calling him out, with benching Robinson and calling out the receivers...we are 2-11...we have sucked every year for the last 20 years other than 2 or 3 random years...and yet we get mad when we finally get a coach who hates losing and wants to hold people accountable? That's why we are a laughingstock every year....I don't feel sorry for us

We sympathize and gloss over the Henry Ruggs', Josh Gordon's, Greg Hardy's of the world and make the Urban Meyer's the worst humans in the world...astounding

I feel like Urbs has a substance abuse problem. Looking back at all the issues he created and bad choices, it just adds up.

Loyal, the kick was simply the proverbial straw. It was a dumb move on Meyer’s part but it wasn’t the only move nor the pivotal one. His calling out his assistants in the brutal manner he did was the mortal sin.

:headslap:

You guys are amazing........ All of these "so called" stories are unverified and from un-named sources.... How can you not have even a little doubt that these rumors are true?

I'm not a Urban Fan Boy but I don't believe anything from un-named sources reported by ESPN.

Seems like your Urban hate is so strong that you will gladly accept any negative news that washes up on the beach..... because it fit's your narrative.

I don't like Urban and I don't like the Jags and I hate ESPN and the NFL! Screw them all....
This post is aging about as well as my Mom. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean nobody's really out to get you, and just because ESPN reports something doesn't mean it's bullsh*t. All those stories had the ring of truth to them to anyone who knows as much about Meyer as we do.

Where does he go next? Some sort of anger management therapy or something, followed by a public apology so he can de-toxify his image at least enough to get a job as an analyst or TV commentator. I believe his head coaching days are over.

Is it really about anger or is it about arrogance? To me that’s the common denominator in all of his troubles. Meyer thinks he’s above it all at virtually every turn. There’s not an ounce of humility in the man.

Agreed but I don't think there's such a thing as arrogance management therapy. I've looked into it.

Another possibility is he may try to chalk it up as a substance abuse problem. Maybe he'll say some pills he was supposedly taking for his bogus heart ailment were making him loopy.

 What Urban needs more than anything IMO is a heavy dose of looking into the mirror to actually see how full of himself he’s become. He’s apparently unable to at this point. Or he rationalizes that he’s two or three wins away from “justifying” the boorish behavior.

Mainly just intended to be a comment on how society has changed in the past 50 or so years.

Each one of us has the right to decide for themselves if the changes were for the better or not.

He's got to stay out of coaching. He is not helping anybody besides his bank account. He was once a great choice for football but that time has passed! He needs to just go away for a while and get his shyt together. Danny boy and Urb can go ice fishing together and enjoy the millions they've raked in! Then we don't have to see or hear from either of them for a couple years.

Some people are relatively unaffected by success. Others take it far too seriously. Everyone needs a reminder from time to time that they’re never that far removed from being entirely expendable.

I don't think this is the case. I am guessing the kick makes the fire for cause even if they wanted to do it already for the other reasons.
