I'm thinking Urban ain't too sad about it, he was way in over his head. Wonder how much money he made for 13 games?

Realistically this should mean he's done, but I somehow see him coming back and coaching somewhere. Some AD will be desperate enough and he'll want to show he can still so it.

If Meyer knows anything, it’s how to do damage control. He’ll do what he always does after he embarrasses himself. He’ll temporarily retreat from the public eye, resurface on a college football TV panel and be back on the coaching market in time for the 2023 season.

You don’t just permanently disappear after three national titles unless it’s due to Alzheimer’s.

We haven't seen the last of "The Chinless One". Somebody will fall for his snake-oil charm and give him a shot. He reminds me of a guy I knew years ago when I was in business. He'd hire in someplace and for 6 months or so there would be just a whirlwind of activity, owners smiling ear to ear. Then things would go sideways. Money would come up missing, deals that were thought to be winners would turn out to be a disaster, long time employees would quit, customers complaining, etc, etc, etc. He would blow out of the place leaving it in shambles, one practically on the verge of bankruptcy. But there was always someone there, waiting with open arms to welcome him aboard, and he'd be good-to-go for another year or so.

Yeah, I remember handing my dad an old, dried out twig one time. He laughed and I still got tanned.
Not to derail but I remember one time my dad planted a baby tree in the back yard. I thought it was funny to unplant it. A tree.

Side note, why did you change your name from Taco Gratis?

Urban didn't do himself any favors but this encapsulates today's soft, coddled generation...

1) The hiring of the Iowa strength coach...it's funny to me how the Stephen Smith's and other leftist sports talking heads of the world always say a player who got into trouble with the law deserves a second chance....but yet they criticize Urban for giving that guy a second chance and he wasn't even a criminal? I know the answer I am just putting it out there

2) Grinder girl.....certainly not smart on his part but also it had nothing to do with football....can coaches not go out and have fun now?

3) Lambo, Marvin Jones, and Robinson all are the same thing....soft ass divas who don't like criitcism or being held accountable.....should he have kicked Lambo if its true? No....but I have no problem yelling at him/calling him out, with benching Robinson and calling out the receivers...we are 2-11...we have sucked every year for the last 20 years other than 2 or 3 random years...and yet we get mad when we finally get a coach who hates losing and wants to hold people accountable? That's why we are a laughingstock every year....I don't feel sorry for us

We sympathize and gloss over the Henry Ruggs', Josh Gordon's, Greg Hardy's of the world and make the Urban Meyer's the worst humans in the world...astounding

Thanks for chiming in Col Jessup!

To many people, being a racist is like being a sex offender, it can’t be cured. Just because the guy deserves a 2nd chance doesn’t mean it has to be an NFL gig, let him coach division 2. Urbz should have passed and hired one of the other 10,000 qualified candidates.
Grinder girl.....certainly not smart on his part but also it had nothing to do with football....can coaches not go out and have fun now?
That situation had less to do with the girl than not flying home with the team. If the coach ain’t focused on returning to work right away to fix the problem, why should the players. When you get paid millions to coach, you fly home with the team instead of playing grab ass. You think Belichrck would have been on team plane?

You have to treat professionals different, in football and in other careers. When I first started off as a lawyer, the senior attorneys could tee off on me, because I had no other options and I was easily replaceable. Now that I can hold my own in court, and I have more value, if someone teed off on me, I’d tell them to Fuch off. If I mess up, just tell me: I’ll get the message. If you do it with disrespect, I’m out. Don’t need you or this job.

Football players are no differently. They get called out all the time in film review, even Tom Brady. But, you gotta do it with respect, because those players can just move on.

Urbz is a moron for not recognizing that dynamic.

Just embarrassing for Meyer and his legacy but he's probably got 50 million dollars in the bank so I can't feel too bad for him when this country is going broke. He's got three national championships too. He may very well work again in college or ESPN part Deux. ;)

The person I blame most for this is the owner Kahn. man does he suck. Lol. He may be even be worse than Wayne Weaver. Never bringing in Tebow and yet making us suffer through Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert for years. Then when Tebow finally gets to the Jaguars they treat him like a mascot or something as a third-string tight end instead of a short-yardage package quarterback. Even just making the team as a third-string quarterback would have enabled Tim to help clean out the locker room and bring some character to a locker room devoid of it.

Oh yeah and the owner brought in that turd from San Francisco to run the franchise into the ground for like five years. It's a miracle they almost made the Super Bowl one year.

Watch them go hire Jon Gruden now. ;) well he is really good with young quarterbacks.
