I think Brantley was the worst. Poor kid was a top recruit and due to coaching changes and other blunders, he was terrible.

Think of all the QB's we should have played... that left us in the past 11 years.
They're like potential girlfriends who got away and married someone else.

1.) Jacoby Brisset
2.) Will Grier
3.) Trask riding the pine behind Franks.
4.) AR-15 riding the pine behind a terrible EJ.

Pick the right QB and maybe things turn out differently for our disgraced 3M coaches.
(Muskchump, MacElstain, and Mullet.).

Football is a fickle mistress.

Not only did they not choice the right guy, but they were adamant that they were not even going to give the other guy a chance unless pretty much forced.

Seriously? I'm pretty sure Missouri scored like 4 or 5 defensive touchdowns from fumbles and picks from Driskel. Hell, we into OT with fau, a 3-9 fau team because we couldn't move the ball. We managed to score like 10 or 13 points. That was the worst offensive outing in ive ever seen from the Gators. Treon couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that game. Emory has had some bad games but he's nowhere near as bad those guys and his stats will prove it.

Malik Zaire is the correct answer. A 5th year transfer is barely a Gator to begin with, then he was given two starts and lost both.

Never threw a TD in orange & blue, just a pick. No redeeming qualities or mitigating factors whatsoever. Nothing to save him from (finally!) getting a win; too bad the W is in the Worst QB Contest.

Men lie and women lie but numbers do not. They say Malik Zaire is the suckiest of them all.

It depends on what we're measuring: if we're only talking about walk-on level talent that was forced to start a game or two because of injuries or ineptitude on behalf of another starter with more talent, then Appleby or Mornhinweg would have to be the pick. I don't really blame them since they weren't at this level and weren't really supposed to be starting.

In terms of guys who were recruited here to be a starting QB, it's Treon. EJ might not be an elite thrower of the ball, but he could at least make a few plays every now and then--Treon was absolutely abysmal at throwing.

Well coming off the usual shyt show we witnessed the other night, hard not to pick EJ. I went with Morningwood just because it was that bad. But this poll could be literally....

They all sucked that bad. But from a sheer disgust point. I vote Shhhh boy Franks.

The contenders in chronological order:

Emory Jones
Malik Zaire
Austin Appleby
Luke Del Rio
Treon Harris
Skyler Mornhinweg
John Brantley

Emory is number 1 I would say. He is like a poor man's Treon Harris. Also his career suckiness value is very high because he started almost the entire season. He has a high peaks suckiness and a long sucky prime. Brantley has a longer sucky prime of 2 seasons, but he played for a coach that makes QBs look very bad so that has to be in consideration and he was better than Emory imo.

Reading that list is depressing.

I remember wondering how Zaire ever got a scholarship offer to Notre Dame. The guy’s one redeemable quality was that in spite of being slow with a noodle arm, he could occasionally evade tacklers running for his life.

Skyler Mornhinweg is probably the worst in terms of skill, but he only started 1 game (granted it was GSU) and he finished with 2 TDs and 0 INTs (3 TDs and 0 INTs in his career). His overall career suckiness value is low. Also he didn't cock block AR15 from starting. He only started as a result of a terrible trash of injuries.

Emory didn’t block AR15 from playing in any way, in fact Emory did everything in his power to convince hunchback to start AR15.

Emory was awful but we don’t need to pin the sins of an arrogant, idiot coach on him.

Back to the debate, Treon was awful for nearly two full seasons and he wins based upon duration of suckiness.

I don’t consider Morningwood or Harris because they legit did not have the physical ability to play in the SEC. That isn’t their fault. My vote goes toward the guys genuinely recruited to start. So, my vote goes to Emory. Forget just the Gators, he is the worst QB I have seen in many years. And, my goodness his mechanics are a dumpster fire.

So you won’t consider them because they shouldn’t be playing?
I thought that was the point of the discussion.

EJ hands down. Love the kid, great attitude and solid dude. But he was a 5 star and was just plain horrible for most of the year. He had some good games that just flat out are forgotten because of how horrible things ended.

Appleby destroyed Iowa in our bowl game and that was probably the only time, the one game, Nuss's(?) offense ever looked like it had reason for existing.

How the hell did Uncle Del Rico not get more votes? His ****ter was definitely full.

He was slow making decisions like Jones, but at least he also had a noodle arm and the athleticism of a 40 year-old with a dadbod on the verge of a heart attack from trying to keep up with a flag football game.

This thread is depressing.

Back to the eggnog.
