Stricklin's base salary increased from $545,900 on his original deal to $1 million on his new one. He also received a bump from $150,000 annually for media and press relations duties to $270,000 per year.
The rest of Stricklin's compensation package remains the same: He'll get $250,000 annually as a retention bonus, $110,000 annually as a longevity incentive and $95,000 annually in the form of an expense account.
Stricklin's expense account does not include the cost of automobile, travel and fringe benefits that total roughly another $62,000 annually.
Well that POS Strichnine has it figured out. Give raises and extensions to the Garbage coaches we have already whether he hired them or not and that will directly result in a raise and extension for himself. Give mo' money, get mo' money. Clearly our administration ranks right down there with the former football coaching staff.
I am glad he fired Mullen and...so far...BN seems to be a great hire, time will tell. But, dang, how can it not be obvious that Mike White is the elephant in the athletic department room? Earn your newly acquired money, Scott, do something about him.
Truthfully, I don't get too up or down about any hire. I assume these people know far more than I do and so I do try to give any coach a chance. It's never my call and what I want or don't want doesn't mean squat. Actually, despite Mullen's mediocre record, with an opportunity like UF and that he'd been here before he should have done better. He proved he couldn't handle it, the dumbass did himself in.But were you glad he hired Cousin Eddie at the time?
He fired him too! Let's see if the growth in his cahones make White gone too! I'm not aconvert but am willing to watch a little longer. Love the BN decision to date! But were you glad he hired Cousin Eddie at the time?
I assume these people know far more than I do
This is insulting! He makes more money than the entire anthropology department, sacrilege!
What company gives such a raise in compensation to someone whose negligence and liability has been so on display? Yes, he speaks well and is measured. Yes, he fired Mullen, finally, but only after apparently not requiring accountability but saying the program has much more accountability under doofus Dan?Not a surprise given the fact that nobody actually cares about women's hoops. Head scratching pay raise given the fact he was the one who hired Mullen. Dude must be good at fundraising because this is clearly not a merit based pay raise and contract extension.
UF sets itself apart from the SEC by not being a Deep South school, but rather by being the UCLA of the SEC.
