You do know that KKs are mentioned in the Older Testament right. Exodus 16:31 calls manna wafers coated with honey. Close enough for government work. What’s your favorite doughnut and where does it come from?
Up north, Dunkin Donuts was the best.
In the South, its Krispy Kreme by a mile.
And it PISSES ME THE FUK OFF in the fall when they stop it for the pumpkin spice cake version!Krispy Kreme blueberry cake are what we get when we need a doughnut. We don’t go often due to a lack of self-control when we go.
I'll have to try that place on my next trip down! And it PISSES ME THE FUK OFF in the fall when they stop it for the pumpkin spice cake version!
In Tampa, there is a hole in the wall Puerto Rican sandwich shop/bakery called La Creación Bakery. I would drive 1000 miles to get ONE of their cream cheese filled donuts. It doesn't taste like it sounds, it's magical, and I'd trade two of my kids for one. They bake in the morning, when they're gone, they're gone for the day. Their Cuban sandwiches are pretty awesome too.
The original is on W. Hillsborough, they have a second shop in Brandon, but never been there. It's worth the stop just for the authenticity alone. We're usually the only non-hispanic white's there.I'll have to try that place on my next trip down!
Duck Donuts in Pittsburgh is pretty amazing. If we’re talking chains, I confess to having a weakness for DD’s blueberry cake.
Dunkin' Donuts peanut donut was my pre-KK blueberry cake favorite for dunking in milk... Then they caved to the peanut allergy fanatics and discontinued it. From that day forward, DD was dead to me... unless @bradgator2 is buying. ;)
... and I highly recommend putting "Amish Donut" into urban dictionary
on my work laptop?
