It appears we're going to do our best to get better in the trenches. Me like.

The WR from Texas has gotten CB's from 247 and On3 today - Caleb Douglas.

I'm fine w/ this take - as it seems our passing attack won't be overly potent. But I just don't understand why they let Gibson walk.

Caleb Douglas - Hightower - WR

You buy that story? I’m not saying they weren’t truthful, but I suspect they weren’t totally candid.

I'm not saying I buy it completely - but they said they never even got as much as a phone call. That part I don't understand. He was committed, give him a 2 minute phone call - somebody from UF, anybody. Not that hard. Also, he's a Florida kid, w/ UF parents. Taking 3-star WR's from Texas is fine, but many times we see kids from out of state transfer out. I know we're still in the "trust the coaches" phase (Ox is all-in there!)....but it's okay to question a few moves (getting rid of Keiwan Ratliff is another one I haven't liked - although there may be more to that story also). It's funny when people get butt-hurt when you simply question a questionable decision.

Sounds like somebody needs a few days in Ox’s reeducation camp.

The problem with your perspective is that YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FACTS. You don't know what actually happened or did not happen or why it did or did not happen. Did they call or not? You don't know. If they did not call, why didn't they call? You don't know. Assuming just makes an ass out of you. You have to learn to live with uncertainty without panicking over 'worst case' scenarios and give they let the people do their job. If they don't do their job then you fire them and move on.

Settle down. It's going to be okay. I'm sorry I questioned not calling a committed recruit ranked in the top 100. You're right. I'll pretend I didn't read the article where his mom literally said, 'we didn't even get a phone call'.

This is fine, no problem questioning something like this. It’s frustrating and appears the lazy and complacent. Especially after the last staff’s reputation.

That’s where it gets confusing, because the new staff has been proactive in everything they have approached. As matter of fact, they have been working tirelessly on the trail. Something happened to sour them on Gibson and they’re either not allowed to comment or they’re taking the high road. I don’t think we’ll ever know, but it’s very likely that they just didn’t blow him off.

I just find the butt-hurt funny. Ox is on a journey to turn this into swampgas!! "Trust the coaches!!"

Either he did not get a phone call or he was asked to provide highlights of him making cuts on his bad leg. I've heard both and I don't care let him be a bust at OU

The problem as I stated is that you don't know what happened or why it did or did not happen. If you are going to believe everything a parent tells a recruiting service then you have much bigger problems
