If Kirby sticks with Stetson Bennett and the same defensive plan, would you expect a different outcome? Also, I believe Saban has only lost once to his former assistants. To me, the most important factor will be if Kirby finds a way to rush an “and 1” to pressure the QB while forcing him up into the pocket and not losing contain. That extra time with unimpeded vision is a killer. The Dawgs have a strong defense, but if they stay vanilla again, it favors Bama even with no Mechie I think.

The Dwags blitzed almost every down thinking they could rattle Young. It absolutely gassed their defense.

I think we'll see less blitzing and more dropping into coverage making Young have to be more accurate and scramble more.

I wrote in the Pick 'em thread that I would have wagered my own money on Bama the first time around, but this time I don't feel so confident. This game is harder to pick.

BAMA -27
Dwags- 20

It puzzles me how all I've heard is Dwags are not going to make this mistake, or Dwags will do this better. How about that Bama didn't play a perfect game either and maybe they play better than SEC Champ game where they won by 17?? Little Nicky the difference again in this 1.

If Bammer can get Metchie’s backup to perform like he did, they will easily win again. Ugay has a good defense, but they were exposed in the SECCG as a team that had no answer for two premier WRs on the field at the same time. Meatchicken had no chance to replicate that performance against ugay. However, Bammer toyed with them at times. I expect the same to happen again. Though, I’d prefer a catastrophic event to do us all a favor and wipe out both programs.

I think the Dwags have more talent but obviously Saban is the better coach. I think this one truly comes down to who wants it more and that might actually favor the Dwags.

Roll Tide
I also have a futures bet I made on Bama last time I was in Vegas. That also favors the filthy Dwags.

I just want to express my appreciation to all of my Gator buddies pulling for the Crimson Tide to smack them down just like a month ago.
The talent is similar, except for two things. Coach and quarterback. Those two advantages will make the difference.

Bama by 14 points.

Bama has the two best players in college football, Young and Anderson, and probably the most dynamic wide receiver in college football. I expect it’ll be someone like Billingsley or Bolden has a big game on offense and they’ll be the mvp

(he also said he's going to drink his 1980 commemorative coca cola if they win tonight - I told him that is a great idea since coke ages like a fine wine)

Either Bama wins and we all feel better

or, Georgia wins, they blow their wad, lose all their edge and desire and it takes them 41 years to win another one. By then we’re all trying to survive nuclear winter while being hunted by AI drones intent on wiping out humanity.

Cheers!

Better QB and coaching usually wins. Since the Red Tide has Saban and the Heismen winner, while Dwags have only Shart and a walk-on, seems pretty straight forward who will win. On the other hand, Dwags have a lot of emotion and the revenge factor, while the Red Tide has the disrespect factor after not being favored even though they just dismantled this same team a month ago. So the only question is will the Red Tide cover the Ox-made spread of -2.5. Tune in tonight to find out. Either way, SEC wins another one.

Prediction: Bama 28
Dwags 26
