The conspiracy theorist in me notes that the journalist didn't explore--or rule out--the theory that Butters didn't use some of his ill-earned buyout money to find a look-alike and pay him off to own up to the photo.
Also: how is it that he *still* is so awkward doing any television interview?!

My Favorite thing about this is that pretty much everyone at CMU assumed it was him all along. Like, yeah what a guy and his friend and his shark do in the privacy of their own fishing boat..well...it's weird for sure.
As much as I hated Luke DelRio, he just about redeemed himself when he made the comment about initially not thinking that the picture was of McElwain, but that when he saw the way McElwain overreacted to it he started wondering. That was awesome.

That's what I thought. Seemed very pro-Mac spin to that presentation. Suspicious. Plus the hair in the photo doesn't seem to match the "confessor."

Butters finally did it. He couldn't take it anymore and paid a look a like to take the fall. Then had an entire media thing put togethor for it.

When I started watching it, I was thinking that Mac was going to sue the balls off some people, as we know he had no sense of humor while at UF. Good to see him actually lighten up a little - he's certainly at the kind of place now where he belongs. The pressure is off.

I remember when he was confronted about it, how bizarre his reaction was. If it was me, and I knew that wasn’t me in the picture, I would have laughed my ass off when asked and played around with it - I mean the guy in the pic DOES look a lot like him. The fact that he reacted so seriously was just bizarre, and only fueled the rumor that it was him. What a weird fuchsing dude.
