@ lizardbreath did you ever get to watch the video?
No, I'm too lazy to actually equip myself with any pertinent information. Just out of curiosity, to which video do you refer? But please don't take the question as a commitment to do anything requiring even a scintilla of effort on my part - including watching some verkakte video.

I agree, it is damn sure nice to actually have a HC that seems to know WTF he's talking about. More over one that just actually works. He has a plan, vision, and seems to be in full execution mode with it. Not a lot of Dypshyt Dan Coach Speak. Like what he had to say about the new GatorMade program, the 13 day eval with the current players, and he needs to hire more people than are already in the building. We have a long way to the Utah opener, but dayum....I sure feel better about the current status of our Gators.

Well, I wanted a CEO type coach that knows how to build and run a high performance organization. I feel confident that we got one. I'm also confident that he will recruit. For me the question to be answered is "game day management". Fingers crossed.

Logical, philosophical, methodical.

For me the question to be answered is "game day management". Fingers crossed.

PowerNap strikes me as the CEO/HC who aligns things correctly coming into the game such that the right stuff spills onto the field naturally from players full of football IQ awareness. Nap won't shake & spill no Yatzhee cup, like CDM before.

Shart is living proof that if you recruit well enough and hire an excellent staff, you don’t even have to be that good at “game day management” to win a Natty.

Bet Nap could do a crushing-it imitation of Slingblade, but would that just be a different Darth Vader.?
I keep hearing alot about Slingblade but one thing I'll say about that movie, if you really analyze all the characters in that town it's safe to say the Karl is perhaps the most stable considering his past and his circumstances, along with "that boy".

I would put the over-under on Billy saying “right” durning a press conference at 50
I mentioned this about him in his previous pressers. It’s probably the only negative I can find about him up to this point. It’s annoying as schit. I used to work with someone who did the same thing. Ending you point looking for affirmation speaks of lack of intellect. I’m not saying CBN isn’t smart, because he obviously is and approaching this job the right way, but he has built a habit of saying, “right?” That needs to be broken.

I think it really comes from coaching where you are constantly teaching or explaining techniques, film breakdown, etc. There is a constant need to affirm the players are understanding what’s being said.
Still, it is annoying and he should work to correct it. Fire him.

I disagree. We don’t need to fire him. You are taking it way too far. (/sarcasm) It’s more of a generalization thing but there are tons of people who do it. It’s similar to those people who say, “literally” when they mean it actually happened.

I never would have noticed the "right" thing when he speaks if it wasn't pointed out by people that find it totally maddening for some strange reason.

Saying "right" at the end of his sentence is his way of making sure people who aren't as smart as him understand what he's saying. He's a coach; he deals with this constantly. When he does pressers he's surrounded by sports reporters, right? I think everyone who's ever had the pleasure of hearing Edgar talk/ask a question knows where I'm going with this, right?
