Why is this kid ranked so low? Not many safeties have track speed. Has he been diagnosed with Stiner brain?

3 star? Don’t know anything else about him, but it’s hard to get excited about this one. We don’t have many spots left… or do we not expect too many top recruits this late it the process?

Honestly I don't know anything about anything. I just love the Gators and post twitter stuff I see trying to beat williston_gator to it

1. There are 3 stars every year who have claimed offer lists better than this. For example, this years U. AL. signee Shor claims offers from U. AL., OKlahoma, Oregon, aTm and UTn.

2. That said, lots of high school coaches have the good sense to put their single college prospect DB at FS and break on every weenie high school pass. So where a high school DB line up in high school is not determinant as to where they will play in college.

3. The good news is no one is a 5 star or 4 star or 3 star after they sign. They are just a player. If a staff wants them, then we shall see if they can contribute.

Appreciate the assessment. I don’t know much past the star rating… Sounds like a solid pick in a transition year, but agree we need to see bigger talent starting with the ‘23 class.

I never said many 3 stars each year had better offers. But there are a few or each year that have better offers than the ones you listed. (I have no idea how to know if an offer is committable unless I happen to know the kid or his family or until the kid commits and the school either takes the commitment or does not take it.)

I have long wanted someone to do a study on 3 stars that sign with the top half or top third programs in the power conferences and see if the study finds out anything different those 3 star recruits compared to the studies that show any random group of 5 star rated recruits is more productive than a random group of 4 star recruits and any random group of 4 star players is more productive than a random group of 3 star recruits. I would guess the 3 star players than sign with UF, U.AL., OU, UO, Ohio State, UMich, SoCal etc. are different than the 3 star recruits on average.

Apparently this kid wanted to commit, but it wasn't accepted, on his OV this weekend. Not sure if that was because of overall space or # of spaces at WR. Regardless, Napier put this kid on ice for the time being. He's going to take more OV's, but he'll be in O&B if we whiff on some other targets.
