I finally got around to watching the the video. It looked at the end like Mrs. Stafford was marching off to find where her hubby disappeared to. And I recognize that walk. My wife did it many times when she was p.o.'ed at the kids for something and was on her way to grab and punish them.

I'm really not sure why anyone would be surprised by this. It's not exactly an uncommon thing anymore. Have you all really not been paying attention to the serious lack of empathy spreading like wildfire throughout our country? People getting shoved in front of subway trains. Bashed in the head with baseball bats for no reason. Followed home and stabbed to death. People taking selfies while someone's getting beat to death or near death. Victims being ignored while perps being put on pedestals by the media. Literally there's no shortage of stories of horrific acts the likes of which we only saw in very rare cases in the past. Now it's commonplace. Seems to me a whole lot of people need to wake up. Every day less and less people seem to care anything at all about what happens to those around them. It isn't an anomaly anymore. Especially in this country.
It can all be traced back to the final Seinfeld episode where Kramer was filming the crime while the other three were obviously entertained by it.

And yet, the greatest commercial of all time was about that city. I remember seeing this commercial and thinking, "Man, I almost want to move there." Then I came to and said, "This is Detroit they're talking about. You've been to that sht hole and promised yourself you'd never return."

A good friend of mine from high school is responsible for that commercial. I've mentioned her a couple of times over the years.

Did you hit it? Be honest.
No. I was a painfully shy, chickenschit when it came to girls in Jr high and high school. Carol and I were very close and did a lot together, but I never asked her out even though I really wanted to. She's one of about 5 that I really should've asked out, and she's one of four of those that as an adult have asked me, "Why did you never ask me out? I so would have said yes!"

I was an idiot, now I'm just a moron.

You can look her up. Carol Goll, Head of Global Branded Entertainment at ICM Partners. She had Eminem and Beyonce when that commercial was made.

Yeah, I would have been intimidated as well.

She was a keeper/wife material in high school. Not the prettiest back then, but really nice, really smart, sharp sense of humor. She's a year younger than me (she was same year as Dan Enos), but was equipment manager for our wrestling team, that's how I really got to know her.

" So this DG guy...I so would have done him. But he was a puss in HS. I will always have a void in my life because of that".
