I'm less interested in the track record of our next coach than I am that they will be more reflective of who our student body is. The new coach should have diversified sexual preferences and perversions and should be increasingly Asian. It was obvious Mike White didn't have the qualities we should all be seeking in a head coach, right down to his last name.
Pasty gets it. No Whites. No Hitlers.

Perhaps we can find a TransGender with Aspergers to coach the team.
At the very least the new coach must have Pronouns in their bio.

So I am to believe that you are saying Jeremy Lin should be UF's next coach? Not sure of his Sexual tendencies, but Asian and Ivy League degree should clear him to be good to go. :lmao2:

Purely emotionally, I like the Mike Miller choice. An NBA guy. A guy with height. Wonder what NBA friends be might sway to come.?
How do y'all think he would recruit for this SEC alma mater.?
Whatever coach we get, he needs to staff up with an eye towards areas of recruiting. Gotta Go Gators ... now !
I was thinking Matt Bonner. He's been learning under Coach Pop forever and I think he's a really smart dude

I think I speak for the entire board here. The last thing we need as a head coach is some soulless ginger.

Mike Miller may be decent. I have to imagine he is not the same kid that played at Florida in 2000.

I remember him walking around campus with one sweatpants leg pulled up well over one knee and the other down around his ankles.

That was cool thing to do back in 2000, but I thought it looked kinda stupid.
Hes the same, still donning ghetto ass track suits but has added a cornucopia of jail house tats to accent the urban attire. No way in hell i want someone like that in charge of our program. Same goes for someone like jason williams before anyone moves on to clamoring for that wannabe thug.

If our sole entrance criteria is previous ties to the program, this would be as good as any name I've seen on here. personally I think previous history should not be a factor at all, except as an, "oh by the way, he also used to..."

So based on your parameters, Georgetown should be Top 5 every year with Pat Ewing at the helm. How is that working out? Oh wait, it is only the Big East, so it's different. Tell Jay Wright that.

Forgot about Bonner, kev. With him as Gator coach, we could become very proud and full of hope. He is a very practical thinker. A very smart person. It just might be a good long-term Gator bond. I am bothered by the apparent unpreparedness by Stricklin. We need a quick resolution to this cornerstone vacancy.
How is recruitment and the transfer portal affected by our vacuum at the HC position.?

I love Miller for his time at UF and with the Heat. But he looks like a drunk hobo in that second picture. And judging by the look on the assistant’s face, whatever he drew there either made no sense or may have even just been boobs. He’ll need to get clean before we can even entertain him back here.

From a untrained eye. To me Mike White biggest downfall at Fl besides being average was his inability to develop players.
From day one he got some pretty good players on board but they never seemed to get better or even regressed in some cases.

Agreed

I have read people say that White was an average recruiter which isn’t fair or accurate. He recruited well enough for UF to have stayed at or near the top of the SEC and a mainstay in the top 25.

I guess the reason people say this is because none of his recruits (excluding Tre Mann) ever lived up to their recruiting ranking and many of them were gone within a year or two.

Even the players he inherited from Donovan, and many were very talented, seemed to regress each year so clearly something was missing in the program. Kevaughn Allen and Casey Hill were better players as freshman than as seniors just to name a couple.

We were just given a gift and you want miracles. With our incompetent ATH ADMIN, any gift we get has to be treated like manna from heaven.

Im sure it’s a gift to the basketball die hards, I’ll admit to only being interested in the basketball program when we have a good team, like a lot of UF fans I’m sure.

I do not possess any worthwhile basketball knowledge. I'm just blabbering over the uncertainty we are stuck with. I would never want any vote in really choosing the Gator's coach.

Some of us don’t follow the nba and haven’t seen a pic of Miller in over 10 years. Would love to have a Gator legacy who has the coaching skills to be great, but your description gives me reason for doubt.

His description is very accurate.
Coon azz from South Dakota moves to the big city and adapts to his surroundings.
Maybe someday Mike Miller will wake up and figure out who he really is and go with it.

No
It should be Jane Lin that now prefers to be called Jeremy.

If he promises to wear a suit and let me be in charge of his haircuts and beard, I’ll make sure he has a fresh high & tight for every game.

And I truly have no idea if he’s got the skills to succeed at UF, so no major pumping from my corner… I just like the idea of a Gator legacy returning - IF the fit is right.
