If committing to a school meant that other schools couldn't harass you to switch to them, I could see the value in it. But since you are going to be hounded anyway after committing, why wouldn't every recruit make all their visits and take all the time they have to make a commitment? I've never understood it.

Kept you out of worry?!?! Danny's my boy (his 4 years were my 4 years), but we had to squeak by a couple games with him, too. I remember beating Vandy by only like 7 one year when we were in the hunt.
And it took 3 blocked kicks to win a Natty with Tebow another year.
I love our Legends as much as anyone, but it was never smooth sailing. We had legitimate heart palpitations during our best seasons.
It's not easy being Orange & Blue!!!

Leblanc on campus again today. Will be back for spring game. I think he has sat in more meetings and attended more practices than Miller. Might as well let him suit up next Thursday evening. He just got a CB to us as well. He is committing on July 23.

This is great and love that Napier is getting a lot of media buzz on it. Multiple sites stating LeBlanc's return and the CB. We keep hitting these kids with the ratings the 93-94 avg will happen.

The lightest edge rusher we are recruiting is currently listed at 225 but looks a little bigger in recent pics. That is Isaiah Nixon. Other edge rushers we are after are Keon Keely (240), Tomarrion Parker (250-260) and Wilky Denaud (230-245). I assume they will gain even more weight once they get to UF.

I’d like to see them slide Gervon to DE with Watson at DT at times. Not always, but have that as a big alignment package. His athleticism is similar to Carlos Dunlap and his size would be tough to manage with Watson plugging the middle. Both would merit double-teams and the offense would have to choose its poison.

I remember being struck at how quickly Dunlap could reverse direction, such as he’d crash the inside on a run fake but recover quickly enough to snag the runner before he turned the corner. Crazy agile at, what, 285-290?

That clip was like nothing I’ve ever seen still to this day. He moved double and triple teams like they were weebles. I’m trying to remember another DL film that has been close. Maybe Floyd, or Gary Brown from Seffner Armwood.
