AR got rid of the ball 10x faster than EJ. AND with way more zip on the ball. Very refreshing to see.

Lingard, Bowman and Johnson make a great Top 3 at RB and I didn’t see ETN out there (hopefully he’s ready to be “next man up” if injuries hit).

Scooby Williams looked good out there. Several other defenders stepped up, most have already been mentioned here.

Also some new faces on O who show promise like TE Zanders. Reasons for optimism.

It’s the O&B game, so it was fun but not a true litmus test. Not panicking, but not predicting 15-0 either. I just want to see fun, disciplined football while CBN rebuilds.

Totally agree. Spring Games are supposed to be fun and I thought it accomplished that.

Also I don’t think ETN is on campus yet. Maybe I’m wrong.

This team after a few weeks of practice, while learning a new system on both sides of the ball, already looks much improved compared to the team we watched in Nov. They will only get better as they continue to get comfortable with the new systems over the summer and fall camp. This spring was a great first couple steps for Napier's plan to rebuild this program. No, we aren't going to win any championships this year, but we'll have a solid team and will continue to move in the right direction. 2023 could be a special year if AR doesn't go pro.

I think it was around 30k as well. About a third of the stadium filled.

It narrowly edged out the Samford game from last year. At the peak, I’d say it was over 40. A lot of people started filing out once the game was well in hand. It was a Thursday after all.

I'm probably not feeling as positive as some of you guys. AR is really, really good as are the RBs. 1s on D were for the most part not that impressive to me, but as others have mentioned they were limited in what they were allowed to do. There's a huge drop of with the 2s. If AR gets hurt I'm going to get a lot of yardwork done on Saturdays, I'm afraid.

I really hope I'm wrong and will eat the crow feathers and all if it means we're not dropping games to UK and Missouri. It's not the end of the world if this season is really tough, as stench from Muschamp hasn't even cleared the building yet, let alone Dopey Dan. There have been some positive signs that Napier is working on a complete fumigation. I'm hopeful all the positive buzz in recruiting actually materializes into LOIs come early signing as I feel like we can't afford to finish second with a lot of these guys and be competitive in the next couple years.

I liked the tempo.

The penalties are an issue and that concerns me as it was something specifically mentioned before spring practices even started.

I'm glad Napier is killing the chain.

Go Gators!

Maybe, but I’d almost see Graham there over him, no? Again, I’m not always great at these things, but he or Bowman seem like they fit that role better.

NW was one of my favorites. I think he just got passed by, and the last staff did him no favors. He probably should’ve had many of Davis’ carries but was probably constantly told next year would be his turn due to seniority, which is obviously out the window now. His face looked dejected last night which I hated to see.
NW has been recovering from injury and so got held out of the action last night. I'm still rooting for the guy. He has a way of getting the yardage he needs to get (2021 Alabama game as reference). If he's our #4, then we truly are stacked at RB.

Well AR was playing against a defense that had its hands tied , unleash the D and probably not as pretty.
This team needs playmaker’s. We may have some surprise’s and the portal may provide some help but this a rebuild that will come from great recruiting .
I see where Fl. Could win 10 this year but 7-9 wins are more likely.

To be honest, I’d completely forgotten about his injury. That may explain quite a bit.

It’s possible I’m getting old.

I was listening on the radio, and they said he was still listed over 400lbs. Has this guy not lost any weight since he got to school?

The announcers said he’s lost a lot but they don’t know how much. The scale *only* goes to 440 and he was months getting below that. He’s 420-430-ish at present.

At that size I would think dropping 50 by August would be reasonable without being too drastic.

We may have the best stable of RBs in the country.

I read this and thought, it has to be a joke, as we have 3 RB's who are all transfers (plus Wright, maybe). But, I started looking to see if it had any merit and, while there is no evidence that any of these three guys who have never played at this level will be even mediocre, it is not completely absurd. Next year does not have a clear potential RB star or group of stars in FBS. Bama is relying on a GT transfer we all wanted. His best season is 700 yards. Nearly all the well known backs are now gone. Even the dwags and Southern Irish Tigers don't seem to have the same type of guys who have shown glimpses of being great behind others.

For the O&B game overall, my takeaway is that if AR gets a even a stubbed pinky toe, our W-L record drops about 3 games.

That's basically how I am feeling. It appeared some players were held out and the D was on a leash. AR did look good and I dont think his performance drops off if the D is allowed to play hard. He was in a non contact jersey and I think he too was holding back here and there in order to avoid contact. A lot of bagging on Miller, and deserved, but I dont think he had much to work with regards to WR. The WR room is really hurting. Black and Wingo looked good as did a lot of our DBs (or is it our WRs are just that bad). And Zanders at least looked the part making some good catches over the middle.

I dunno about this coming season. Can't be as bad as last season. Just praying that the recruits start buying what we are selling.

It’s good to see you coming around to the positive side. Me and several others had to talk Ox into not banning you for life.
