Maheo, you create another question, born from my ignorance, of course = Would not the sponsors knowing a player won't start, lower his NIL worth, offer.? i.e. going where he will get the most playing time would enhance his NIL use and compensation, it seems.??

I hope we get Broome. I like the idea that his family & old friends will be in the stands cheering him on.

I don't follow Auburn basketball. Over there, they view themselves as one of the elite programs in the country. You know how it goes. Fans are all excited over a player. He is perfect for the team. Suddenly, it looks like they might not get him so it becomes, "Well, he isn't really that good." Or, "We didn't want him any way." It is fans being fans. We still don't know if we really landed Broome or not. I'm just relating what is being said. Sometimes they are right. Sometimes they are wrong.

The Auburn insiders are saying they aren’t getting Broome. They are going after 5* Julian Phillips and don’t have the NIL money for Broome too. That’s rather convenient since, yesterday, they were bragging about how Broome was an Auburn lock. I’m getting my hopes up. Meanwhile, our insiders are posting broom gifs. Also, apparently this post by the collective is a shot right at Bruce Pearle,

Reports are that Broome will make his decision between Auburn and Florida by this weekend.

Riley Kugel will be attending UF assuming his grades are in order. That is an issue. He has recently been bumped up to a top 100 player.

Kennedy has been processed. Likely, for Golden’s guy…

Not optimistic that we can win with a Mid-Major point guard. We tried this before with Appleby. Going to be a frustrating first year unless Golden Boy can land us a Euro-stud to handle the point.

I watched the Shabazz kid play in the tourney. He would be a solid pick up. What was most impressive about Goldens team was how little they turned it over. They were one of the top teams in the country at taking care of the basketball. He's a not the type of small guard who thinks he's 6'8". He's smart with it. He's not a game changer but he'd solidify our back court.

What are the chances Shabazz would want to come in as a senior and have to compete with Bonham for the starting pg spot?
